British Columbia has issued new invitations to candidates in its Express Entry BC, Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur streams.

A total of 31 Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration invitations were issued through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)'s Tech Pilot, which helps to fast-track immigration for eligible foreign workers with a job offer in one of 29 in-demand technology occupations.

The minimum score in the December 12 draw was 85 for candidates in the Skilled Worker category and 95 for International Graduate candidates in both the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams.

In order to be eligible for any Express Entry BC categories, candidates must have an active profile in the federal Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for Canada's three Federal High Skilled immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination for permanent residence through the Express Entry BC Stream receive an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

Another 25 invitations were issued to candidates in the BC PNP's Entrepreneur Immigration Stream with a minimum score of 110.

The stream is for experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to invest in and actively manage a business in B.C.

Individuals interested in immigrating to Canada through the BC PNP must begin the process by creating an online profile with the BC PNP and submitting a complete registration form.

Applicants profiles are assessed and assigned a score based on factors that include education, work experience and proficiency in English or French.

An indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province is required in order to become eligible for most BC PNP immigration categories.

The minimum scores for each category involved in this draw were as follows:
