The province of British Columbia issued new Tech Pilot invitations for a provincial nomination for permanent residence to candidates in four Express Entry and Skills Immigration categories on November 28.

The Tech Pilot is open to eligible registrants with a one-year, full-time job offer in one of 29 in-demand technology occupations.

This latest round saw 42 invitations issued to candidates registered in the Express Entry B.C(EEBC) Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories and candidates in the Skills Immigration Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories.

Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry ranking score.

In order to be considered for immigration to B.C. through any of these categories, the first step is to register an online profile with the province's Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Candidates are awarded a score based on factors such as education, work experience and language proficiency as part of the registration process and the highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply in weekly Tech Pilot draws.

All candidates issued an invitation to apply will have 30 calendar days from the date they received their invitation to submit a complete application to the BC PNP and pay the required processing fee.
