New Brunswick’s licensing process for immigrant engineers praised

Earlier this month, the head of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick praised the province’s licensing procedures for foreign-trained engineers four being efficient and accessible.

Andrew McLeod, the association’s executive director, cited regular contact with multicultural organizations and presentations to immigrant engineer about the licensing process as part of the reason the system is so effective.
In addition, the application forms can be found online and applicants are quickly informed of the steps they need to take in order to become certified to practice their profession in New Brunswick. McLeod said that qualified engineers can become licensed in the province in four months.
