Manitoba invited 354 immigration candidates in its latest Provincial Nominee Program draw held on July 28.

Canada has issued 2000 invitations to apply (ITA) for permanent residency in the latest Express Entry draw held on August 3.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced the details of the new Open Work Permit for Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) holders. International students whose PGWP expired from September 20, 2021, to December 31, 2022, are now eligible to extend their work permits and stay in Canada for a further 18 months.

Restrictions due to the pandemic over the past two years have caused many international students to complete their education online, making it difficult for them to obtain the necessary educational credentials they need to be eligible for some Express Entry programs.

The government of Canada reintroduced random testing for COVID-19 at international airports in Canada on July 19. Testing had been since June 11 this year.

Canada has issued 1,750 invitations to apply (ITA) for permanent residency in the second all-program Express Entry draw since they resumed on July 6.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence to candidates in the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories.

Saskatchewan invited 682 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on July 6.

Canada resumed all-program Express Entry draws on July 6 and is now issuing invitations to apply to Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) candidates and Canadian Experience Class candidates.

Like all immigrants, U.S. residents require a work or study permit if they plan to live, study or work in Canada for more than six months. Canada processes applications from those who immigrate from the U.S the same way as other applications from around the world.
