The Government of Canada and the province of Manitoba are investing $9 million to renovate old housing units in Winnipeg for new immigrants. Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba (IRCOM) will be overseeing the management of properties once the project is complete. One of the main goals of IRCOM is to provide immigrants with affordable housing in addition to providing settlement services.
