The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 427 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to candidates in the Skills Immigration, Express Entry BC and Entrepreneur Immigration streams in a draw that took place on September 19.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) regularly issues invitations to apply to immigration candidates with the highest scores under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Candidates invited under the Express Entry BC categories are awarded an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score if a provincial nomination is approved, leaving them well-positioned to receive a federal Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a later Express Entry draw.

BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream candidates who obtain a provincial nomination will have their Canadian permanent residence applications processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) outside the Express Entry system.

All Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates invited in the September 19 draw need an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province.

Investing at least CAD $200,000 in a new or preexisting business in British Columbia is one of the key requirements for the BC PNP Entrepreneur candidates.

Once an online profile is completed through BC's SIRS, candidates are assigned a score based on various factors, such as education and work experience.

Use the CanadaVisa Skills Immigration Registration System Calculator to determine your potential score under the BC PNP Skills Immigration system.

For more information on the eligibility criteria for the BC PNP’s various categories, please visit the BC PNP page.
