British Columbia issued new invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence to Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates in a draw held March 5.

Invitations went to Skilled Worker and International Graduate candidates in the Skills Immigration and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) streams.

Candidates in the Skills Immigration Stream's Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category were also issued invitations in this draw.

EEBC categories are open to immigration candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for Canada's three Federal High Skilled immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination for permanent residence receive an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

Candidates in the Skilled Worker, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, and International Graduate categories are required to register with the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) after completing a profile with the BC PNP's online system.

SIRS is a points-based system used by the BC PNP to evaluate candidates based on factors such as education, work experience and proficiency in English or French.

All Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates invited must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer with an employer in B.C.

The CanadaVisa Skills Immigration Registration System Calculator can help you determine how many points you may be awarded under the BC PNP's SIRS.

The minimum scores for each category involved in March 5 draw were as follows:
