The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program has issued 387 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates.

Invitations were issued to Express Entry BC and BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream candidates across various categories on December 5.

Canada's Express Entry system manages the profiles of candidates for Canada's three main federal economic immigration categories: the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the Canadian Experience Class.

A provincial nomination issued under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Express Entry BC categories results in an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. These additional points will effectively move Express Entry candidates to the front of the line for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent federal draw.

All candidates invited in this draw had to demonstrate an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province.

Candidates who obtain a nomination under the BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream will have their applications for Canadian permanent residence processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) external to the Express Entry system.

Individuals interested in applying for immigration to Canada under the Skills Immigration or Express Entry streams must first create an online profile using the BC PNP's online registration system and submit a completed form. Candidate profiles are assessed and assigned a score based on various factors, such as education, work experience and other factors.
