Tyler Schaufele, Senior Attorney at Cohen Immigration Law

Tyler Schaufele is a Senior Attorney at Cohen Immigration Law focused on Canadian citizenship and, in particular, on proof of citizenship and citizenship by descent. A licensed lawyer and a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, Tyler works at the intersection of legal practice and technology — advising clients directly while helping build the systems that make their experience faster, clearer and more reliable.

Before joining Cohen Immigration Law, Tyler worked in legal technology, including at Clio, where he built intake and contract systems used across a large organization. He has also developed legal research and document tools for public institutions.

Tyler obtained his law degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia and holds a B.Sc. in Economics (with distinction) from the University of Victoria. Clients appreciate his precision, his systems mindset, and how straightforward he makes the path from a first question to a citizenship certificate.

Areas of focus: Canadian Citizenship · Proof of Citizenship · Citizenship by Descent
