Mon projet Québec, the immigration application management system used by the government of Quebec for its Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP), will be offline from May 26 until 8.30 a.m. (Montreal time/E.S.T.) on June 1. The stated reason for the system being offline is due to technical maintenance of the system.

In any event, Quebec's Minister of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness, Kathleen Weil, had announced in February that online applications for the QSWP will be suspended until June 13, 2016. The only exceptions — and therefore the only individuals affected by this maintenance downtime until June 1 — are applicants who have enclosed a validated employment offer with the application for a selection certificate submitted under the QSWP, and temporary residents in Quebec who are eligible to submit an application for a Quebec Selection Certificate/certificat de selection du Québec (CSQ).

In February, the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Diversité et de l'Inclusion (the Quebec government department overseeing immigration to the province) announced the following schedule for the QSWP:

The announcement that up to 5,000 applications will be accepted in June, and another 5,000 at a later date, is likely to be well received by candidates who have created an account in Mon projet Québec, as the previous scheduled quota was set at 2,800 applications to be accepted.
