PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada provides welcoming environment for immigrants

the CanadaVisa Team - 31 December, 2009

Starting Monday, the Prince Edward Island (PEI) Association for Newcomers to Canada (ANC) will have a new Executive Director, former journalist Craig Mackie, to help continue its mandate of providing settlement services to immigrants.

The focus of the Association for Newcomers to Canada in PEI is to retain immigrants that settle on the island by helping them settle and integrate successfully in their new environment.

Established in 1993, the PEIANC helps more than 1,200 immigrants a year by providing services, information and referrals related to all aspects of settlement in Canada, such as schools and social agencies. It also helps build bridges connections between established PEI residents and immigrants. <.p>
