Provincial Nomination Programs (PNP) were originally designed for skilled workers. With the success of the skilled worker PNP, the programs have evolved.

Each Provincial Nominee Program offers one or more options for skilled workers. Certain ones are more targeted to specific types of individuals than others, seeking those with experience in key occupations that are in demand in the province or territory. Some provinces also offer programs for semi-skilled workers.

If you receive a job offer from an employer in a province or territory in which you intend to reside, you may qualify for immigration through Provincial Nomination, which will generally allow you to obtain Canadian Permanent Residency faster than through other programs.
