I would call again and ask to speak to a manager. Very strange you don’t have it yet. Be a little bit pushy.
On the subject of calling, does anyone here have a shortcut or a better way to get through to speak to an agent? I live in Vancouver and every time I try calling the 1-888-242-2100 number, it takes 5 minutes to navigate through all the prompts and when I finally get the option of "press 0 to speak to an agent" it always just says we cannot connect you right now because we have too many callers, try again later. Doesn't matter what time or day I call, same thing happens.

is there an option to speak directly with an agent that i am missing? I have some genuine concerns and questions i need to ask but can never get through.

Received on Jan 9th, 2017, now it has passed 12 months. I still have not yet heard anything. No Sponsor Approval, no AIP. So the government is not keeping their promise?

Any January 2017 applicant? What are your situations?

Call them up! They may have made a decision on your application.

Call it at the very early morning. That's what I did. About 8-9 am Ontario time.
Wake up, dial the number, and then wait and have breakfast. Usually it will take about half hour.
Good luck !

When you call CIC and enter your app details to check the status, it notifies :

If your app was received after October 26th 2016, it is not yet being processed.
Current processing time is 14 months.

:( I really wish they stick to 12 month processing time.
:(

Hi there,
I used the UCI and family name option and I left the city I was born in blank. I’ve noticed that it would only let me leave that blank on my laptop. I tried from my iPad and it wouldn’t let me leave that field blank. This is a good thread that helped me finalIy link my owp. Good luck :)
