I am not able to get Job Description from my present or past employer. Would CIC accept a self deceleration about me work experience?
I have experience letter (date of joining, last day, last designation) and appointment letter for all my previous employers.

I am from India and having 5 years of Job experience.

In my Job experience I have changed 2 company and this one is my 3rd one.

I want to are they going to check all my previous employer or just current one ?

Company 1 :
However, my first company i have worked for was a small one and no longer exists. I have all the documents related to the same.
I still have contact with the owner and he is ready to provide the necessary help to me.
Company 2 :
My second company had a notice period of 30 days. I had server the notice period but they were not ready to release me, nor could i delay my joining in the new firm. So i took all the documents like experience letter and left. I spoke to them yesterday and warned them regarding the call for verification.
Their reaction was shocking since they said that they wont support me in this and will give a negative remarks saying that i never worked in the company.
Company 3 :
I have all the docs.

My Questions :
For Company 1 :
How can the verification agency verify the company and my work details as the company no longer exists ?
Will i need some extra documents to prove that i worked for this company on a particular role ?
For Company 2 :
Will i need some extra documents to prove that i worked for this company on a particular role since the higher level of the company directly refused to help me (decline that i worked for them) ?
For Company 3 :
Is it necessary for me to show the current company data since we need a specific format and no. of hours/week and other data ?

Also, is it mandatory for me to provide details of my companies in a specific format because some might even decline to do so?

I think your work experience in the company where u are working is most important nd the verification would prima facie be with that one. If it responds good no problem, otherwise the enquiry extend to all places you claimed to have worked. All the best

Hi,

I have few queries.

My first company no more exists, all i have is the relieving letter from them stating my tenure. Do i need to provide anything else coz the CIC document checklist said you need to provide you main responsibilities, annual salary and number of hours worked per week and and my relieving letter dosen't has that.

My Second Company is a small firm and i have a similar relieving letter stating my tenure. Query similar to above


How do we approach our current employer for all the details required by CIC, i do not intend to inform my supervisor about my application for Canada Visa...

Also, it would be really helpful if some senior member and list down what all documents related to work experience along with what attestations they provided at CIC to get their visa successfully.

If someone has a format which we can us than please do PM me. Thanks in advance.

In the physical/tele verification, do they ask questions related to :

1. Technology you worked in (e.g., Java, dot net, PHP, Oracle, SAP, Networking etc)
2. Designation on paper.
3. Day to day roles and responsibilities.
4. Nature of project (e.g., Implementation, Upgrade, Development, Testing, support)
5. Team size
6. Client details

If Technology & roles\responsibilities are manipulated (Designation & everything else will remain same) in previous companies to show more relevant experience then is it possible to get caught in the verification?

Example :
Currently working in company "D LTD" in Oracle Apps Technology. but in last 3 companies C LTD, B LTD & A LTD I worked in hard core dot net/java/PHP/Networking. All my previous companies are genuine and still operating.


I want to claim points for Oracle Apps (Business/ICT Analyst position) but have I have only 1 year (+ Vendor Certified) of relevant work experience in Oracle + 4 years in other core technology.

As an IT worker you can work in many technologies during your tenure.. Technologies change frequently and even within a single project you can wear many hats as the situation demands..

According to Canada Immigration your Experience letter from your employer or your supervisor should give a clear picture of the roles you performed and it should be for at least 12 months to be eligible.. To claim points you should have worked for that period.. Hope this helps..

Hi People, I urgently need your HELP!

When I submitted my application , I was not in good terms with my manager so I gave my colleagues reference who also works as a manager.....however, today he got a call from my company HR asking for verification ( about Y did he acknowledge the reference letter as my manager when he is not) He got afraid and denied his acknowledgement ......now tomorrow they may call me regarding this.... I am scared I may lose the job also curious what if they send negative feedback from my company..... now my question is how do they verify the job details....do they call directly HR or the reference...what could be consequences ....please help....
