Foreign work experience

I’m planning to include the work experience I had in India 7 years ago on my profile. I had already included this experience when I applied for my study permit to come to Canada. However, the company changed its name in 2020 and later shut down after COVID. They no longer have an active LinkedIn profile, but their website is still up and running.

I’m still in contact with my former manager, and I plan to request a new reference letter with updated details, as the one I previously submitted does not include a detailed job description or list of duties.

Will this be an issue? Is there anything else I should do?

Till the time you have paystubs and/or direct deposits if IRCC wants to verify.

It might be an issue, just try to provide as much as possible evidence. like references. job offer, paystubs, etc.

Till the time you have paystubs and/or direct deposits if IRCC wants to verify.

Yeah I do have my paystubs, but no bank statements or tax statements.

I do have all of those. I had submitted reference letter and offer letter when I applied for my study permit. But now the name has changed and the company is no more. I am thinking of getting a new reference letter and a letter from my former manager that the company had changed it's name and it has ceased its operations. Will that be enough?

You can definitely add a letter of explanation from yourself and your former manager, if possible

You might be over complicating it.
