Hi,
I have 6 months of paid internship trainee in Java programming full-time and next 6 months as java developer in the same company. Can I use it as 1 year foreign experience?
The thing is in my offer letter it is written as:
We are pleased to inform you that you have been appointed as internship trainee in java programming on the following conditions:
1. Your internship will be 6 months only
2. You will be paid stipend of 1000, No other allowances.

I worked full-time during my internship and the job duties were similar to that of a developer.
So, will this be considered as work experience? Is the word stipend going to create an issue?

I am planning to ask for an updated reference letter from my manager, because the one I had submitted when I applied for my study permit to come to Canada doesn't have detailed job description and duties.

Thanks

You do not have to mention as an internship trainee. Since you have a valid one year full-time expereince, it will be counted towards your foreign experience. Moreover, when you get an invitation, you will need a reference letter too. So make sure you have valid job offer letter, relieving letter and reference letter.
