I have been trying to call them since last week. And each time i get the same message: we r experiencing a high volume of calls and cant transfer you to an agent.

call them every two minutes. you will be transferred in a couple of calls. It all depends on the waiting time.

Hi all,

I landed on Nov 25th, 2015. My PR card pictures were taken by the border agent as my VO hadn't submitted any (strange, I know).

After following up with CIC multiple times, I was informed in March that my picture wasn't accepted and I would be receiving a letter in the mail to submit new pictures. The agent sent me an email with details on resubmission.

I sent my new pictures on March 3rd, 2016 and they were received on March 7th.

I had booked a flight to Kenya in mid April as I was sure my PR card would be in my hands by then. I'm starting to get worried as I haven't heard anything back nor received my card. Anyone with feedback or a similar timeline?

shouldnt have booked flights. thats all i can say. or try flying back to the US and then come to canada by car (if you dont get your PR card before your travel date)

Thanks for your feedback. I have seen many individuals on this forum who had/have booked flights a couple of months in advance especially if for international travel. I don't think anyone predicted CIC's printing machines would have to be replaced resulting in resubmission of new pictures.

true. now i have to reschedule my flight. i should have applied for a travel document at the first place; now i lost a job interview!

i used to do that when i was in canada! international calling ain't cheap lol
but thanks for reminding me; i will do that tomorrow!

I am not able to log in my ECAS since they said they started my PR card application on tuesday. Is it Normal? Does anyone have same issue?

You landed exactly 6 months ago , after 6 months ECAS go off .
