Hello Everyone,

I congratulate those who received their PR card.
I really need your inputs with regards to our case. We just landed on 22Apr2015 and provided the mailing address to immigration officer from the form we have filled in and double confirm to the officer the mailing address of our card. On the other hand, I just change the CIC mailing address online in the beginning of July 2015. When we called Customer Service which sounds very sarcastic told us that our address just updated on 6th July 2015 and we have to wait 1st week of October before we received the card. We provided the address during our landing but still need to wait another 3 months because of not updating immediately the online? Your all advise are highly appreciated. Thanks

That's utter nonsense! You probably got Tiffany or some other incompetent CIC agent on the phone. You will receive your PR card however many days for processing of the card (as per the CIC website) after your landing date, regardless of when you change your address. I too changed my address about 1month after I landed, yet I still received my PR card 85 days after I landed.

Hola,

(Landed on April 26) Just phoned CIC. she did not accessed to my file even if 86 days has passed since....but she said "you should get the card today. If the card is not arrived for the end of the week. Please call us again"

Any updates guys?

Anyone got the card today?

Best that you call again and try to reach another CIC agent. It is their job to log into an applicant's profile and provide any updates. Any agent that refuses to do so is incompetent and lazy.

Yeah, I read it, too, multiple times. But as I mentioned, both the accountant and CRA said I had to file taxes, and in 2014 I was actually only a visitor. I also tried to confirm with CRA does it mean I CAN file them if I WANT TO, but they said I HAVE TO. I called three times, got different agents and the same answer. Taxes are not something to play with...

Also, I had zero income, didn't split income with my husband, have no kids, didn't try to get any benefits. Basically, my tax forms were all zeros (except the usual deductions that apply to everyone).

You can see that another forum member said the same thing, taxes must be filed even with zero income: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/waiting-for-pr-card-after-landing-add-your-case-here/-t162351.0.html;msg4489087#msg4489087 (second post from the bottom on that page).

Hey friends!

just letting you guys know that my card bas been mailed out 14th July (landing date : 18th April) so I am hoping to get the card this week at least :)

Landed in April 11, received my PR card last week (~July 14). However, my wife's is still missing. Called CIC and was told it was posted at the the same date as mine. WTF, I guess Canadapost lost it. We have to re-apply it and wait for another ridiculous 3 months. CIC should not send PR card by regular mail. Come on, it is PR card! Signature should be required when it is delivered.

PR cards for different family members often come separately. Maybe wait until the end of this week before reapplying?

Hi all, I landed on 25th April still waiting for my PR card. My ECAS shows my canadian address as my Current Home Address and my lawyers address as my Current Mailing Address. Is it okay or I have to click the Update Mailing Address button and update my mailing address?

Btw my Lawyer's address is a Canadian Address.

Putting this up here...I need to travel to the US on an urgent business trip soon that cannot be avoided. However, I still do not have my PR card, only have CoPR (I'm not from a visa-waiver country).

Has anyone rented a car at Buffalo airport and driven back to Toronto through the Niagara Falls border? Any issues at all?? Looks like everyone here is saying a "personal" car is okay, but what if it's a rental car? Can there also be a one-way drop-off, so I can drop off the car in Toronto airport or something? This is very urgent, so really appreciate any pointers...

hi traxton,
thanks for your reply. Till now we haven't received our card. It is already 90 days since 22Apr15. I always check ECAS address still did not change. I am afraid by next call to call center will advise me the address is not change eventhough I gave the mailing address in the immigration officer during our landing.

One quick question.

Is there any other way to verify the application status for dependents on ECAS? I could see my status using UCI number, but when I try the same with my dependents UCI number, ECAS says there is no application found with that information.

Does ECAS work only for primary applicant? Is there any way to verify the dependents status? Thanks!

Does anyone know how long it will take to get PR card after sending out the new photo to Sydney? Just got update from agent that they need me to retake photo for PR card. :'(

Did they give any reason why need to retake the photo? was it because of missing photos (or) quality of the initial provided photos?
