Good day @ashuindian,

I am about completing my EOI and need your advice on NOC to use and the amount of points i can claim for work experience.

Employment History:

  • Head of Operations (NOC 0016 but has related responsibilities to NOC 0911) 1st Dec 2017 to date (2 yrs)
  • Production Manager (NOC 0911) Jan 2014 to Nov 2017 (3 years 11 months)
  • Leaf Growing Mgr (related to NOC 0113 and NOC 0114) Mar 2012 to Dec 2013 (1 year 10 months)
  • Operations Management Trainee (related to NOC 0911) Mar 2010 to Feb 2012 (2 yrs)
Is it possible to claim points for the all the different NOC codes as My EE profile contains all?

I intend using NOC 0016 since it has higher chances of invitation than NOC 0911. And how many points can I claim for this?

If I should use NOC 0911, how many points can I claim for this?

Thank you
Must choose NOC 0911, with 12 Points.

I have already sent you by PM
Dear Ashu, Need your expertise on the same.

I have done my degree from Switzerland where I have a diploma in Hotel & Tourism management followed by a degree in Hotel & Events Management but currently working for an airline as a Key Account Manager NOC 0601 - My occupation is somewhat related to tourism as I also sell Holiday/Tour packages to my corporate clients and also as I reside in Saudi Arabia where a law has been passed that only Saudi Nationals can work in hospitality industry (Hotels/Events).

My question as you are well aware... will this be accepted by SINP - i have currently received my ITA on 21DEC.

Please do advise.

SINP strictly follow this rule, Educational qualification must meet with Job experience. No excuse
Employment requirements for NOC 0601
This is what you typically need for the job.

  • A university degree or college diploma in business or in a related field with a specialization in sales and Several years of experience as a sales representative or in a related occupation.

Hi everyone

I created SINP profile of my spouse, being the primary applicant. She has completed Masters and Law from India. The ECA report received from WES assessed her Masters to PG diploma of 1 year as per canadian equivalency and her Law degree as first professional degree(Juris Doctor). While creating the profile the maximum points 23 is allotted to Masters or Doctorate degree but it doesnt mentioned anything about Professional Degree. In that case should i stick with Bachelors Only claiming 20 points or i can claim 23 points?

@ashuindian I would appreciate it if you could reply to my inquiry.

I have ECA for both my bachelor's (mechanical engineer) and Masters's (MBA).

My 10 years of work experience are in 2232, which is related to my bachelor's.

On the official Saskatchewan website, it's written that "

Your above work experience must be in the field of your completed post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship. This education must be comparable to the Canadian education system of at least one year in length.
  • Your work experience must be directly related to your occupation and education. Your intended occupation is the occupation you select for your application."

My question is, can I claim the 23 points for Masters? or shall I declare only Bachelor's? Because I have ECA for both certificates, and on their website it is not mentioned that it has to match with the highest education, nor it is mentioned that only 1 education has to be declared.

In Work Experience section your Bachelor's degree will work.
In Education section your Master's degree will work. You have to claim 23 points.
Both are different things.

thanks a lot for your kind reply. This means that if hopefully i will receive an ita, i will upload bachelor with eca in work experience and master’s with eca in education, that’s perfectly clear to me. Not to doubt your feedback or anything but have you encountered similar case? Or do you have some official feedback confirming this? Thanks again

I wanted to understand that will i be able to claim full points for work exp, even though its in two diff NOC codes(both are in demand) OR does it have to be 10 years in the IN-DEMAND occuptation?

@ashuindian Thanks for all your prompt feedback here.
Please my question is on work experience vs Noc. I have a 10years experience in noc1311 but for 2years now I'm a supervisor so my noc now is 1212 or 0122, however I still perform a few functions as 1311 but now as a supervisor both are from the same organisation and same department. My reference captured it this way. My challenge is this, which noc do I claim? Basically, I cannot perform the supervisory noc without having the 1311 experience. So I was wondering if you could help me with this decision. Can I claim 10 years with the supervisory noc?
