Good question. Please note that I did not give advice, I just shared my understanding of the wording. I would, however, reckon it to be similar in your situation as "relevant" does not imply any specific order of events. Caveat here is, however, whether SINP would recognize points for an ineligible noc even if it is not the noc you chose as primary noc. I honestly don't know. Strictly speaking, if strictly go by the wording it should be recognized because the only thing they say is that you can't choose an ineligible noc as your primary noc. My rational for saying that I reckon it should be recognized is because SINP chooses eligible nocs as a function of their labor shortage. I don't see a reason why they won't give points for a noc that is on their ineligible list that, however, is a) relevant to your main noc that is elegible and b) a noc that helped you learn to perform the functions of the noc that you use as primary noc. Hope that helps.

But great question because it is a topic that is hardly clarified by SINP on its website, so the more people ask the more this question may get visibility and hopefully someone with similar experience, who already underwent the same process can chime in. If you hear anything regarding your issues would you please share it here as I am also very interested in this topic, regarding using multiple nocs that are relevant to the primary noc and whether points can be claimed for all those relevant nocs.

Good answer, but what if the situation is the other way around.

For example, someone files for NOC 6221 (technical sales specialist), but has 10 years experience with NOC 0601 (corporate sales manager)?

The reason I ask because my situation is as described, I applied under NOC 4211 (Legal Assistants), but have experience in NOC 4112 (Lawyers). I did that since NOC 4112 is excluded from the list of illegible NOCs.

Thank you for your answer.

If we use logic then it should work, as in my case. I have 10 years of legal experience as a Lawyer, so I will be able to do all the duties of a legal assistant/paralegal. But, what I will do is to ask my employer to write as many paralegal job duties in my reference letter and add a couple of job duties of a lawyer. However, all my documents will state that my job duty is a Lawyer.

I just hope that if my application will be refused for this reason it will not affect my Express Entry profile and will have no effect if I apply under different PNP.

If I find anything I will let you know. But from reading through the forum most users state that you should state NOC that is closely related to your current job, so in my case I should state Lawyer and not Legal Assistant, and consequently be ineligible to apply

Am currently working for my 4th employer and can I have the same reference letters (copy paste the R&R from my CV) from all the employers or do I need to have different R&R reference letters?

Thanks,
Hi

Please make them different , as employers do not have a standard template.
make sure your Job Description is in line with requirements of NOC , and use key words as required by your NOC

Why so agitated? I simply ask what the basis of your claims is. Where does it say that jobs of different nocs, which not all correspond with the chosen EOI NOC, all count specifically for SINP points?

After all, thoughts and advice we all share here can severely impact others' lives and families. Hence the question for the source of your information imho is more than fair. Please don't take it personally.
You are 100% right

I got LOi, I need some advice.

I applied for reference letter from my current employer but they declined issuing me, I have three years plus experience with them. I however already have a reference letter from my previous employer where I have three years working experience. How do I remedy the outstanding three years experience?

In addition, must I have the proof of funds sitting in my account for the last 90days to submission? Pls help

Don't mind asking your NOC, CRS & LOI received date?

I have a question regarding notarization of the documents.

Will it be a problem if I provide a document duly translated and notarized, but without affidavit form provided on the Saskatchewan Government website.

The affidavit in my country will simply state that the document was translated from Azerbaijani into English by [Translator's Full Name].

I have sent them e-mail more than a week ago regarding the same, but still did not get an answer.

I don't think the emphasis here is just on "single occupation", but it is on "relevant to the single occupation".

And this is the contentious issue, I checked all SINP webpages and forum threads here and there is so far no conclusive answer of whether all jobs for which points are claimed must be of the single identical noc as the one selected as part of the application. I asked SINP and wait to hear back, but when taking the wording literally then the following should be acceptable as well:

Someone files an EOI with NOC 0601, corporate sales manager. One claims points for all 9 years of previous work experience within the past 10 years. One job matches with NOC6221, technical sales specialist, and other jobs match with NOC 0601, corporate sales manager. Because 6221 is RELEVANT to 0601, and is basically showing a natural progression from a junior sales role to a senior sales manager role, the requirements set forth by SINP should be met, which is that the jobs for which points are claimed, should be relevant to the chosen application NOC. Hence one should be able to claim points for both NOC 6221 and NOC 0601 with NOC 0601 chosen as the main NOC.

The above would obviously not apply if NOC 0601, senior sales manager, was chosen as part of the application and if then the applicant claimed points for, for example, computer programmer or registered nurse because those jobs are not RELEVANT.

This is my reading and understanding of the deliberate working of SINP. But I asked them by email for clarification, I hope to hear back from them and will be happy to share the findings.
I have also just got ITA NOC 2171 with 68 points.

However I have realised my Express entry profile probably have a couple of years down as 2282 (User support Technician) My Role cut across both 2282 and 2171

Questions are:-

1. Can I update my EE profile after getting ITA to submit SINP application. (SINP will probably see that I have update one of my work History?)

2. Can I create a new EE profile after SINP ITA with all work history matching 2171?

I am going by Matt's rationale on this in the sense that majority of my recent experience in the last 10 years (8years +) is in 2171 however I am confident this should not be a problem but you never know how the SINP officers will interpret the wordings above.

Thanks in advance.

I need urgent assistance from the group members and experts. I have been working in a private bank since 2010. My NOC is 6235 and I have got NOI from Saskatchewan on 8th October 2019. I already prepared all of my documentation including a job reference letter from my present supervisor. Now, the point is that in my reference letter the position which I have held since 2010 are mentioned (like Probationary Officer/Executive Officer etc.) But those job titles are not available in the NOC 6235 code job title examples. Will it be a problem if I don't mention something from that job title list (like Credit officer/Financial Services officer/Loan officer) ?? Will the authority reject my application. I am so much concerned because someone in one WhatsApp group mentioned that the reference letter should be aligned with the Job title and Job duties mentioned under NOC. Please Help!!!!

3 months old proof of funds is a must otherwise get ready for rejection and wastage of 350 CAD application fee.
