Hi guys...i need an urgent help. My primary occupation is Mechanical Engineer(NOC 2132)-3.8years experience, which is there in the OID list, whereas I have 4 years of Research Assistant(NOC 4012)-which is not there in demand list, also 3 years of teaching experience(NOC 4021)-which is there in demand list. Overall experience is 10+ years. All jobs are based on Mechanical Engineering field and falls under skill A type. Can I claim 15 points as I have overall 10 years experience? Please help

Hello guys,
I was going through document list at SINP website, there I read that for job references we need to provide 3 additional proofs like payslip etc. to establish proof of work.
I’m looking for pointers on what documents can I provide apart from payslip?
Will job offer is a valid document for this purpose?
Also one of the company I worked with is no longer in business, I just have my experience letter, payslip and job offer for that company. If SINP asks for any other document from that company I may not be able to provide. What are my options in this case? I have claimed 10 yrs of experience in my EOI.

The work experience claimed must be relevant to the single occupation you've selected in your application.

Good luck.
By Single occupation you mean same NOC, right? I have 10+ yrs of experience in single NOC but with 3 different employers, hope I’m not missing something here!

I don't think the emphasis here is just on "single occupation", but it is on "relevant to the single occupation".

And this is the contentious issue, I checked all SINP webpages and forum threads here and there is so far no conclusive answer of whether all jobs for which points are claimed must be of the single identical noc as the one selected as part of the application. I asked SINP and wait to hear back, but when taking the wording literally then the following should be acceptable as well:

Someone files an EOI with NOC 0601, corporate sales manager. One claims points for all 9 years of previous work experience within the past 10 years. One job matches with NOC6221, technical sales specialist, and other jobs match with NOC 0601, corporate sales manager. Because 6221 is RELEVANT to 0601, and is basically showing a natural progression from a junior sales role to a senior sales manager role, the requirements set forth by SINP should be met, which is that the jobs for which points are claimed, should be relevant to the chosen application NOC. Hence one should be able to claim points for both NOC 6221 and NOC 0601 with NOC 0601 chosen as the main NOC.

The above would obviously not apply if NOC 0601, senior sales manager, was chosen as part of the application and if then the applicant claimed points for, for example, computer programmer or registered nurse because those jobs are not RELEVANT.

This is my reading and understanding of the deliberate working of SINP. But I asked them by email for clarification, I hope to hear back from them and will be happy to share the findings.

Dear members,
I have 6 years 10 months in last the 10 years with 5 years experience in the last 5 years and 1 year 10 months in the 6-10 year period, as of today.
As per SINP International Skilled Worker (ISW) sub-category point assessment grid, point for experience in the 6-10 year period prior to application submission date follows as:
2 years : 2 points
lass than 1 year : 0 point
Do I qualify to claim 2 points for my experience in the 6-10 year period? Sorry, if the question looks silly. Please share your experience.
Thanks

Good answer, but what if the situation is the other way around.

For example, someone files for NOC 6221 (technical sales specialist), but has 10 years experience with NOC 0601 (corporate sales manager)?

The reason I ask because my situation is as described, I applied under NOC 4211 (Legal Assistants), but have experience in NOC 4112 (Lawyers). I did that since NOC 4112 is excluded from the list of illegible NOCs.
