second draw already done

Not complaining, as I think think (and hope) they will not issue ITA under 800 and people will start getting ITA with+450+ , but I do believe that those who have such a low scores with LMIA should be screened very thoroughly as some of them definitely abused the system. Just one example: you have Indian/Filipino/Chinese/Russian restaurant and you apply for LMIA for cook from your country stating that only this cook can create authentic dishes (even though they don't have high education, language etc.). And there are a lot (not all of them, of course) examples like this. Again, I am not complaining about CIC, I'm just saying that some portion of LMIA-LMO holders are abusers. But rules are rules.
 
Congrats to all those who got ITA's!!

Really happy that CIC is moving fast on the draws, can expect the cutoff to reach 400-ish in coming months.

Congrats! It's weird that I see a lot of people got invitations but my has total of 851 points but never received any invitation,can somebody please tell me what could be the reason behind him not receiving whereas others have received with same or low score then him. Oh and he has been working in canada since 2007.

Hi djnaman, In which NOC your friend is working and whats was his IELTS score?

NOC 6242 (cook) and his IELTS score was 6 and just last cic increased his total score from 831 to 851. :o

Imagine how badly this express entry system is failing just on the second draw. If you take out the 600 for either PNP or LMIA, the lowest ranked candidate had 218 points out of a possible 600. WTF!!!!!

It seems like Canada is going to have an abundance of taxi drivers and cooks.... No offence intended.

While the candian educated PHDs, Masters and undergrads are rotting in the EE with most of them already employed with Non LMIA jobs!!

Thumbs up!! Maybe CIC needs to hire some of us to run their immigration cause it seems people on this forum are more aware of the ground realities than the 218CRS employees working up a storm creating this EE system and its scoring!!

i got my bc pnp august 2014,
alreeady applied pnp to pr.. in sep. medicals done..
if i am makkng my Expreee entry profile now..
will i be eligible to get 60 additional points?

any idea?
 
I believe it's not the draw. They will only be doing the cut-offs based on the number of applicants available in the EE with Profiles with enough Points and htey were doing the sliding down to close to 800 and every Saturday someone will get the invitation with the points above the cutoff for that week and they will publish the final cut-off and number invitations sent by last day of every month. SO hope more invitations every weekend. This is my guess!!

I would disagree with you on that...unless the rest of the provinces have their EE nomination system completely set up or the job bank is fully functional - I don't think the number of candidates having those extra 600 points would be growing each week. Infact - the pool of candidates having those extra 600 pts advantage will shrink week by week and then the CIC would have to go lower in points to fill labor shortages. Now they can always delay the rounds unless they find people over 600 pts but it will be just hard to find such ppl after another 3-4 rounds...so either they lower the points in order to reach their target number of ITAs or they lower the target number of ITAs itself for the year.
