I have another question. Through my application I want to apply for Open work permit for my spouse.
I answer all the question and application is taking me to the part where I upload documents.
But in the section for my spouse there is:


Purpose of travel - Other

The info for this section is:

You must provide documents supporting the purpose of your travel to Canada. Examples include: proof of educational study, wedding invitations, proof of a medical appointment, notification of death, funeral notice, etc.

What do I need to upload here?
Or maybe I am answering some of the questions wrong?
Maybe I shouldn't be getting this section.

For spouse you can make one letter that you are working in Canada in Noc o a or b so that's why your wife want to apply sowp if needed attche your job letter

Good Day!
I just applied online application 2 days ago as a TFW with LMO. (NOC 6242)
Received confirmation page the same day.
The next day on MYCIC account there is another section under apply online stated,
Make a Request: OCWP - Request an EVN or a Transfer of Eligibility Verification.
Is this mandatory or optional.
I'm not going to school to Canada.
But CIC posted it to MYCIC.
Do I need to complete it and transmit it online.
Is it applicable to me.
I'm confuse.
Please help me guys.I need your your advise.

Hi,
I have applied for my wife for an OWP online. We have applied through CHC Islamabad. I am an international student who has been accepted at a Canadian university and have obtained my visa for Jan 2014 as well.

I wanted to ask if the processing time of my wife is around 8 months as mentioned for WP applications on CIC website for CHC islamabad or is it 51 days for TRV.

I am not sure about this as this is an OWP and not a closed WP, so this application might be treated differently. Maybe someone can clarify this.

I will do nothing about OCWP.

I received my LMO almost 3.5 months.
I got my job offer last week of May.
And I received my LMO Sept. 14, 2013. Alberta.

Ben are u in canada?? Im waiting for my lmo also but its an unnamed lmo so i guess faster than regular lmo, i call service canada and told me its 35 days so i hope it really is , work permit is so fast now only 7 days of processing time . Thanks

I am outside Canada.
And currently working here in US pacific territory island.
I am from the Philippines.

Mine also unnamed LMO.
But my employer assured me that they already forwarded my name at HRSDC.

And the processing time online 7 day only?
Its true?

Its the work permit , after u get the lmo and apply it online if u are inside canada, i dont know how long if ur outside canada though, im also from philippines and been here for 20 months , i applied for a new work thats why im waiting for my lmo also.

Work permit processing times depend upon where you are in the world. Currently that time is reduced to 7 days for online applications submitted INSIDE Canada.

So if you are residing any where else in the world and apply, the processing time for your country of residence would apply. They are listed here

good day...i havent sent my application yet but i am planning to send it online..but my problem is i am about to go back to the philippines by january 12 due to end of contract..i am bothered now whether i will still pursue applying online or i'll just start my papers in the phils..im currently here in riyadh, ksa..hope anyone could help me..thank you.

fritz, just pursue your online application..then in your application form question no. 7 used your current address in KSA, question no. 9 put your address in the philippines..so in this way, when the CIC requested your passport you have to option where to send in KSA or philippines.
