I see this status when I open the bls main website, not sure if they are taking any new applications.

"OCI Portal of Consulate/ Ministry is Currently Down. Once it is Up and Functioning, We would Update Here! You May Cancel / Re-book your Appointment accordingly"

Yes...I have an appointment today and I called them to check if they are accepting applications or not and they told me no.it is still down

I am trying to cancel my voter id from the portal using form 7. I have linked my profile to my epic number and the indian phone number is added etc. But when I search for my epic at the start of form 7 to proceed with cancellation, its does not retrieve my details with search and hence unable to move forward. Has nay none experienced similar issues in past please?

Yes, I faced this.
To fix this I asked my family member in India to download the voter helpline app.
They registered in the app using my EPIC card detail and my registered mobile number.
Once that is registered, they can try submitting form 7 directly from voter helpline app.
Also after registering on the app, you should be able to add the EPIC into your online service portal and submit form 7 from their.

NOTE: voter helpline app can be only downloaded from India location. If you search this app on play store in canada, it wont show up.

My friend has submitted application this morning at 9:30 AM at BLS ottawa office.
I myself has submitted my son's oci application on 27th May.
BLS ottawa is accepting OCI application every day.
Its hard to believe that Totonto/Vancouver BLS office are using a different OCI portal. I think its totally BS.

How long does it usually take after the status is updated to “eroll updated” for the EPIC ID to stop showing results when searched?

Submitted: March 6th 2025
BLO Assigned: March 7th 2025
Field Verified: March 7th 2025 ->>>>> After this a person visited my address in India on March 20th to verify my application. I reached out to him over whatsapp and gave my citizenship proof (citizenship certificate).
Accepted and EROLL updated: March 20th 2025.

I can't book new appointment in bls website..it gives me error. And also can't cancel the previous one.

Its accepted today.
I would say, wait for a day or two and check you EPIC card number again.

It's takes 1-2 days for EPIC to disappear when your status shows accepted .
