You might have to call MIDI directly to figure this out.
It wont be wise to call MIDI customer care to ask about critical things like this.
MIDI support people have no idea what they are talking about. Many of the people in this forum seems to disagree with me.
Looks like their cases were straight forward.

But many other's experiences in calling MIDI seems to agree with my opinion. (eg: vishalptl21)
MIDI customer support people have no real knowledge about your education credentials how the degrees are evaluated and all.
Do not base your case on their word of mouth.

You can do a comparative evaluation here http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/working-quebec/comparative-evaluation/submitting-request/index.html
or consult a lawyer who charges by the hour for their opinion or do both.

However, lawyer or consultant's words are not always realiable too. I consulted with at least 5+ people, including immi consultant and lawyer, all with immi licenses. However, I don't think I could believe anyone because their anwsers to one same question is so different and contractary to each other. So believe yourself.

Hi dudes,

My MON Project Document Serial Number is D00000108xx (Aug, 2016 intake). We know that MON project will take 5000+5000= 10,000. In this case why they have added me to the eligible group and generated invoice. I have paid for my spouse+2 kids and my total score is 68 ( as per my calculation).
But I am very confused whether I should wait for their feedback or I should stop expecting the offer as my Document serial number is more than 10,000.

Can anyone help me please.

For the comparative evaluation you have just mentioned, it is useful for applying immigration? I have made several phone call to MIDI, and all of them said it is useless for immigration. However, some lawyer said that it is necessary to do that. Does anyone have experience or ideas here?

If the immigration-quebec govt site links to it, then they are certainly giving importance to it.

Once you get the evaluation certificate, you will also get a clear picture of what your degree will be equivalent to in Quebec, so that you can select the right NOC code. WES education evaluation is not accepted in Quebec so you have to go thru this route.

When you apply for CSQ, there is even a dropdown asking whether you have done a comparative evaluation of your credentials. So going by all this, I think its useful to apply for this evaluation when you are in doubt. MIDI will have little room to consider your education credentials incorrectly when the Quebec Govt entity itself says what your foreign education is in par to with Quebec's degrees. See the pdf which says under what circumstances that one should do an evaluation. http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/evaluation-etudes/TAB_objectif_personneIMMIGRANT.pdf

I reemphasis this point - do not go by what MIDI customer care people tell you. They have no clue about anything and they are just customer support. If they knew better, they wouldn't be working in that job.

Do you have any idea if MIDI asks for NOA [Notice of Assesment (tax papers)] when documents are requested...?

Thank You!

Thank You!
They asked a friend of mine who was in the US when he applied for CSQ. He worked both in the US and India. For US he gave certified tax returns by applying to IRS using this form by snail mail https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf (remember to tick checkbox in Item 6. It will take minimum 3 months to get this). For India he gave Form-16 , which is India's W2 kind of form. But Form-16 is not the NOA from India which he later realized to his dismay, but they accepted it anyways (lucky him) and issued him CSQ.

I am still researching how to get the Certified Tax Returns from India Income Tax dept. , if anyone here knows the process, please do reply.

Now asking NOA really depends on individual cases I think. If you are already working in Quebec like me, my assumption is that they will not ask. This NOA is mostly asked if you work as freelancer or a contractor, cases in which there is no tax deducted at source like a company deducting the income tax from your salary. This is to make sure that you really had a job because from the tax return from a government is an absolute proof that you worked. Work experience certificates, payslips etc from a company can be faked. Fake H1B workers and "future GC applicants" in the US... I am looking at you :)
