Hey all

My 2-year work experience will be done in September. So do I have to update anything in my express entry profile to get those extra points, or will it automatically update as they know from which month I started?

Will appreciate your help.
Thank You.
Update your profile.

Ok. But what if I want to apply for EE few months after getting my M.Sc degree, without gainfully employed, ECA done and a very good IELTS band score. Can I use my previous employment that I left before my M.Sc program as a continuous work experience in the last ten years as far as I have a work reference letter and other documents to prove my employment or I'll have to wait to get a Job before applying for EE?

I read about a business analyst who left his Job to start his own company. Here's an excerpt...
"I used to work as a Business Analyst for 5 years. Over the last 3 years, I started my own company. But, I filed for PR under Business Analyst NOC code and I was awarded points for the 5 years I worked as that".
Yes you can

You can't use 3219 as your primary NOC. You can only use a NOC where you have at least one year of continuous work experience.

Thank you for your response.
Should I use 3132 as my primary NOC even if I'm not licensed in Canada? Would that affect any jobs if I ever get ITA or when I land in Canada? Or I can work other NOC too once in Canada already?

You can use 3132. It won't impact anything.

Good day to all,

Like every one else here, I also experienced this kind of situation. But as I back-read here at this forum, it seems that what causes my 0 point is perhaps I have not spend a minimum of a year with my new employer yet, as I just shifted company last March. Am I right to say this? Also if that's the case, can I just use/indicate my previous work experiences (still under the same NOC), instead?

Thank you all guys for answering our questions so far.

To be eligible for EE- FSW, you need one year, continuous, full-time skilled work experience in one NOC. So if you have that with your previous work and employment letters to prove you worked there, then yes, you can count it.
