Background Check Not applicable

Hi there... I am a July 2017 Outland applicant and out I just checked the GCKey site and the background check now says not applicable... I believe it’s always said your application is in progress we will notify you when your background check is in progress.... no just not applicable...

I wonder why for some background check says that and for others it says: 'Your background check was completed'.

it is a good step.. it means one part of your background check has been completed--> have you submitted medical results and SA and police certificates?
the next step is when it gets to your visa office and they conduct the final background check prior to issuing a decision!

The only changes for our file is that the application status is blank and background check is not applicable. Is this normal?

my husband sponsoring me . just week ago i could linked up my file and able to know about this,

Received PR application: 12 May . 2017
sent correspondence TO ME at 27 July. asking for medical. back ground check form and PCC. and i sent them back in second week of AUGUST.
now my status showing
medical passed.
we are reviewing weather you meet the eligible requirement .
do not need additional documents and interview , fingerprints .
your application in progress will send you a message when we start your background check.
we started your application on 8 December 2017.

what's going on here please anyone guide me .

because i linked up my file at 13 December. so i don't have specific dates to know the procedure

so the december 8 part is indicating when u linked your account then? looks like everything is in process.

MY CIC ACCOUNT got this msg. we started processing your application on December 8.2017
but the rest of information i have seen when i linked up my file through GCkey at 13 December.
i am at what stage and how much it gonna take time please, any rough estimation ????
