You're welcome. If you live in Montreal, you can find some panel physicians on the CIC's list. Before taking a medical exam, I recommend you to ask them the fee. Because it varies according to the doctor. ;) Good luck!

I think that's what we paid too - plus the $35 for the scan at the hospital!

Wow, it's good. I paid $270 to doctors in Quebec city. :'(
So, you didn't have to bring any forms? I heard that a medical exam system was changed this year. I hope I don't have to do re-medical again, but just in case, could you tell me what you were asked to bring? (Passport, photos, etc) :)

I have been waiting for 8 weeks since landed on May 15 in Montreal, still not receive the card yet. I already booked the flight in half month time back home for visit. What can I do other than just checking my mail box twice a day? Is there a number I can call to ask for information? What if I didn't receive it until my departure time, what can I do to get back in Canada?

HELP!!!! ???

"If you plan to return in a commercial vehicle, like a plane or bus

If you plan to return to Canada in a commercial vehicle — such as a plane, train, boat or bus — you must apply for a travel document at a visa office outside Canada before you return to Canada.

You should also check with the commercial operator (for example, the airline or bus company you will be using) to see what documents they need."

I called CIC today, asking when am I be able to get my PR card, it's been two months since the landing in Montreal(They told me in 8 weeks, I should get my PR card). Now they told me the processing time is 67 days(same as what I can find on their website), meaning I should get it at the end of July or beginning of Aug. But I'm leaving on 28th this month. I asked if I can let my husband send me the card to me, if it arrive after my departure, they told me I'm not suppose to so, cause it's not legal (not sure why). But questions is, as long as I come back in with the PR card and passport, they going to check the date of sending to match my departure day to see if I leaving with it?

I think it is a good news! Congrats. :D
I guess you will get e-mail from CIC soon, then the local visa office in Montreal will send you a snail mail about your landing interview.

Thanks for all the nice comments! You are right, everyone before me now has theres. The only thing is that my medical is due up today I think. I know it is the middle of July. Anyway I see that everything is taking longer now; people waiting for AIP's, Final Decisions and the PR card!

I've been busy working in a job I like. If you didn't know I work in a job agency in Montreal, head hunting people for jobs!

Now the sales bit, if anyone is looking for a job or you know someone that is, let me know!

We have an IT division which I work in, an admin division and a general work division (factory, fork lift truck, demolition etc) and a medical division - alternacare.

For short term contract jobs; short work permits are fine, we have contracts as short as 2 days. Permanent jobs, you need 2 to 2 1/2 year work permits or longer.

There are jobs also not needing French.

Also we have jobs downtown, West Island, in the East, Laval, and the Southshore; we have jobs in a wide area.

My work email is: benjamin.worrall@quantum-qtr.com
My work number is 514 693 3547
