Jesus that sucks.
How are you feeling?
I'm so sorry you've been waiting for all this time. Is there a complaints procedure you can follow?

Out of interest, and I hope you don’t mind me asking, what does your online profile state?
we are reviewing weather you meet the eligibility requirements and we are processing your background check

My understanding is eligibility stays the same right up until they're sending ypur passport back with the visa inside after PPR

Thanks for your reply

I will fly from Austria to Canada, so as far as I know, there is no need of entry visa for EU citizens in order to enter Canada, so the only thing that I need is my CoRP,Passport and eTA registration (Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) ? Am I right?

My second question is related to the soft landing,I am a provincial nominee and I would like to enter for 2-3 weeks, to apply for PR card and return back, so my question is do you know what the procedure is, by this I mean as far as I read, on the airport they will ask me for residental address in Canada where I can receive my PR card, but unfortunately I wouldn`t be there phusically to receive it, so may I use an address of my friend, who is located in another province?

thanks for your help
This isn't something I can answer for you. You're better off seeking professional advice.

Hey everyone! A UK group!

My wife and I are only just over 3 months into the waiting game but we're at the usual reviewing Eligibility and processing background check, everything else seems to be OK and biometrics status has updated.

AOR: 17th November
Meds: around mid December
Biometrics provided: 15th Jan
Biometrics status updated: around late Jan
No need for additional documents
No interview
Reviewing eligibility
Processing background check

Can't give exact dates, and here is why...

I'm just wondering, have most people completed the application process themselves or have some used an agent? My wife and I used an agent as we really couldn't get our heads around things and because it was a life-altering decision, we decided to use a professional.
One of the drawbacks of using a professional, we don't have access to our login to monitor for status updates, we have to go through the agent who logs in and send us a screenshot...but hey ho, suppose it means we can't check it everyday and can try and forget about it (fat chance of that happening)

Welcome to the group and the waiting game, We have personally done the whole process ourselves . My wife did research a couple of agents but found them to be a bit flakey. She done a lot of reading to get a good understanding, but it was so time consuming and stressful so I now totally understand why people do go to agents. What stream are you under?

we used an agent as well for exactly same reason but our agent gave us full access to our file so we are able to log in ourselves to see if there are any updates

If your initial reading is above 140/90 the doctor should take at least another two or three readings to see if the BP comes down at all. For example, at my GP appointment yesterday the top number started at 161, then 150, then 140. Apparently there is no rhyme or reason for a reading at a particular time and BP can fluctuate a lot, therefore 3 or 4 checks are more reliable for detecting actual high BP, i.e. BP that is consistently high.

It may or may not have helped but for the week leading up to my GP appointment, I cut out caffeine and alcohol and tried to minimise my intake of salt. Also make sure you are completely hydrated as dehydration can increase BP.

Good luck!
Thanks my friend!

This sounds really positive mate. Keeping everything crossed for you.

I'm going to try and ring and speak to an agent. Just need to work out how to do it and the best time.
My AOR is 6 Ocotber 2018 :)
Thanks Nat, likewise for you.

I'd definitely try to give them a call. I called at 8PM UK time yesterday and was only on hold for 15 minutes. If you call the number from the google hangouts app it costs nothing and relatively straightforward to get through once you confirm your details.

It seems a lot of September is seeing progress now so I'm hoping this time next month to hear something, I'm not going to get too worked up until the 6 months has actually passed. I understand others impatience as you can't do anything with your life until you hear either way, however I think people need to wait until the 6 months has passed before being frantic.

Last time an agent told me they can “do something” if my case doesn’t get finalised by the end of March. Some wise ppl on the forum say this could be my new due date :(

Hi all,

Received GCMS notes today and review required is for my wife’s work experience.

It’s pretty disappointing as it doesn’t say why the review is required, and actually states all aspects meet what we put into the application. It shouldn’t even be a hard one to verify - my wife was a social worker with a local council and the reference contains all the info IRCC asked for detailing a number of roles she had there.

The application was remarked review required on 4th September, and nothing was done on the file between then and the GCMS notes being created on 23rd January.

To say I am pretty fucked off right now would be a huge understatement.

Is she the primary applicant?
