------------------------------------------PLEASE HELP--------------------------------------

Hi,

I have received an email saying "Final Request" to provide identity documents yesterday. Below the document request, it says to complete Medical Examination for Myself and all family members.

I have already submitted my medicals and it says- you passed the medical in application.

My question is 'is it a general statement from CIC or asking me to take again with all family member. Pls help

"From CIC:

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

> Supporting identity documents: If a birth is registered late, include the original baptism
certificate and other original documents establishing identity such as: Old school records (Fifth
class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate), and Voter's ID card.
This must be received at this office by: 2019/11/08

As a final reminder, you must also complete the medical examination for you and all family members
within 30 days of this letter if you have not done so previously. You are required to have all your family
members be examined as part of the process of applying for permanent residence in Canada, even if
they will not come to Canada with the principal applicant. This examination of your non accompanying
dependent is in accordance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation section 70(1)(e)."

Thanks

Hello everyone
I Just got my PR this Month, I have a Boyfriend in India, we are in relationship from last 11 years, we wanted to get married this year but I am confused as I don't have much saving to get married as per Indian rituals, is it ok to do court marriage alone? we have pictures from our engagement ceremony.

It will cause doubts as to the genuineness of your marriage and you'll need to provide lots of extra proof about how the relationship is real.

Like I said, if you are applying for an OWP with an inland spousal sponsorship, there are only two times you can apply : with the application, or after approval in principle. If you apply for sponsorship in November 2019 and AIP doesn't come until August 2020, and it takes months to process, you're well past your May end date.

Additionally , having an OWP now is not ground for denying an OWP from a spousal sponsorship.
This is incorrect. Inland applicants can apply for the OWP at any point in the processing, as long as they have valid status.

Has this changed recently? They used to only process them at the time of application or after AIP.
People with valid status could always apply at any time. The after AIP rule is only for applicants without status.

Hi Guys,

So i've applied for my Wife's PR. She's a Pakistani Citizen currently residing in Turkey for her studies.

We got the medical request on Sept 27 and she went to get the medical done on Oct 2nd.

Now the X-Ray showed some abnormalities in her lungs, the doctor said she's fine and its nothing to worry about but they have to take 3 consecutive mucus tests and then have tests conducted on them, basically the results could take upto 6-8 WEEKS !

Will this delay the app ? Do they hold off processing the application until the medical is passed ? The app status shows they're reviewing background check and eligibility. Haven't got AOR 2 yet.
Yes they will hold off on the response until medical examination is cleared.

Hi everyone,

New to this forum.
I'm a PR and about to sponsor my spouse.
I'm Nigerian and want to ask any Nigerian here if they had to fill out the military doc due to NYSC or it's not necessary because its included in country specification.

Also can I travel for 2weeks while the application is in process? I will call CIC but wanna hear from anyone with knowledge on this.
TIA

Hi everyone,

I have a question and I was hoping you kind folks here would be able to answer.

I am a Canadian PR living and working in Canada since April 2018. I am getting early next year and my spouse already has a Canadian visit visa. The idea is to get married and for her to come back to Canada with me.
  • Once she is here as a visitor and I sponsor her for PR, can she stay with me and apply for a 'change of status' or does she have to leave Canada AFTER 6 MONTHS assuming she doesn't receive her OWP?
  • If she receives her OWP, does she have to leave Canada and come back to change her status?
  • Also, do I apply as an Inland applicant or Outland?

TIA

If you want her to get a OWP you have to apply Inland. There's no OWP option when you apply Outland. When you submit the PR application PLUS the OWP application, I believe she will be on implied status once her visitor visa expires. But it's a good idea to apply for an extension as a visitor in case your application gets returned to you for any reason. If the OWP comes through beforehand then I believe you can cancel the visitor extension and get refunded.

Hello everyone,

My wife (canadian) and I (American) were originally planning To apply for my PR at the end of this month, but we have decided to stay in South Korea teaching a bit longer. Our contracts will end in February 2021. We think this way things will be less rushed and we’ll have more time to get a good application together. My question is about timing the process right.

Ideally we’d like to come to Canada at the immediate conclusion of our contracts with me as a PR. We’d then apply to teach in a First Nations community in northern Ontario which starts in July. If I submit my application in December 2019, will we be able to stay in korea until feb 2021 or will CIC likely require me to land sooner? I understand a lot of this depends on the timing of when I’m asked to complete my medical, and the landing date will be one year after that date. The reason I want to apply in December is because I’ve already gotten my police certificates including one from the Czech Republic which I had to have translated for a fee, and they will be more than 3 months old if I wait longer than December

thank you very much for any insight
