This information is especially for students from PUNJAB, India, because I get many phone calls.

Students with low IELTS score (less than 6 in any category of R/W/L/S) or with poor academic score can't get admission to public colleges, so agents in Punjab misguide them and charge money to provide offer letter from private colleges and say “this college has DLI number”. Please understand that DLI number alone has no value and will not get Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP). Every college MUST have DLI number otherwise you will not even your get study visa (actually it is called study permit).

Many students from Punjab are coming to following private colleges and none of them is eligible for PGWP:
Pacific Link college
CIMT college
Evergreen college
Focus college

If you think by coming to any of these colleges you can then change to public college, forget it. Think why a public college did not give you offer letter in first place; because your IELTS score is low or your academic score is low. If you want assistance/guidance, you can call me at Canada + 604 727 3540, but please stop listening to agents in Punjab. All they want is you money. They are misguiding you.

I gave you the answer yesterday. There are 2 types of diplomas that qualify for PGWP and the program must have 900 class hours.

To be eligible for a PGWP, your program must be 900 hours or longer and lead to 1 of the following:

  • Diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) (Diploma in Vocational Studies)
  • Attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) (Attestation of Vocational Specialization)
  • Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) (Diploma in College Studies)
  • Attestation d’études collégiales (AEC) (Attestation of College Studies)

Raj, save your money, buddy. You WILL NOT GET Post Graduate Work Permit after studying from Pacific link college. Don't believe the agent in India. He is telling lies. he is perhaps saying to you,"Look, this college has a DLI number" Wake up, DLI number alone WILL NOT get you post graduate workmit. The college and the programs of the college have to be eligible for this. And let me tell you this college is not eligible for post-grad work permit. I hope you understand. And it is very hard to find accommodation here in Vancouver/Surrey. Please wake up!!

Go to this link below from Immigration Canada website, select province British Columbia, then enter the name Pacific link college in 'Filter items' box and your will see on the far right hand side column that Pacific link college is not eligible !! What more proof do you need? My number is posted in this thread, feel free to call me if you need help.
