I am reaching out to request a consultation regarding my current immigration situation in Canada.
Here is a summary of my situation:
• I am an international student currently enrolled in the Aviation program at Fanshawe College
• I have completed most of my program and have 3 courses remaining
• One of the required courses, is no longer being offered at Fanshawe College, which is creating a delay in my ability to complete the program
• My study permit is set to expire around July 31, and I am unsure whether I should remain in Canada and apply for an extension, or return to my home country and reapply from outside Canada
• I am also concerned about how this situation may affect my eligibility for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) once I complete my program
I would appreciate your guidance on the best course of action given these circumstances. Please let me know your availability for a consultation.
I’ve tried contacting registration, international advisors, program coordinators, and explaining my circumstances respectfully. But I still feel ignored.
As an international student, this situation is mentally exhausting because our immigration status depends on remaining compliant. Being told to “just go home” after investing so much money, time, and effort into studies in Canada feels devastating.
Has anyone dealt with something similar at Fanshawe or another college in Canada?
What options do international students realistically have in situations where courses are delayed/not offered but the student still wants to continue studying legally?
Any advice would honestly mean a lot.
