Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hello,
Is there any way after submitting the docs wait for 1 moth and provide the friends address and leave the Canada instead of waiting for PR card.
I doubt without PR card will get job! and staying in Canada will be costly. So is any possibilities of giving address of friends and leaving Canada and collecting the PR card by other way in person when the friend is visiting us.

Yes. It's possible

1) Use Address Notification to change it to your friend's address.

2) If you are travelling abroad, make sure your friend carry your PR card IN PERSON. There have been cases of PR Card intercepted by Customs via Post.

What is the new photo dimension/size which we need to submit upon the photo requests?

Or any tips which we can take it well before to avoid the request of photos, like providing the new dimension/size of photos while immigrating.

What all documents and questions do they ask in immigration, could you please point it please and provide the tips which will help me a lot.

We called CIC yesterday and spoke to a call centre agent. We were told that they there were over 8000 applications that had to resubmit pictures. We were asked to continue waiting until the end of July. If we do not receive his PR Card by the end of July then we should call again.

Dear all,
Today I called CIC to check the status of my pr card application, the agent confirm me that my PR card has been printed and dispatched by today.
Thanks God after a ver long time I hear this news.
My timelines are as under;
Landed 25 Jan,16
Photo request 4 May, 16
Photo sent same day and received CIC on 8th may,16
2nd photo request 17th may,16
Photo sent again on same day and received by CIC on 19 May,16
After 149 days finally I heared that my card is mailed out for delivery. Hopefully I receive the card end of this week of mid of next week.
Anybody share the delivery timelines how many days Canada post takes for delivery?
And am thankful to every member of this fourms and I pray for all of you to receive your PR cards soon.

50 x 70......these "new" dimensions have been in place since late last year though if memory serves me right. A lot of us submitted 50 x 70 pictures and still received a photo request. Don't think there's anything that you could do during your landing that's going to increase/decrease you chances of having your photos requested if you submitted the correct size

Haven't had access to ecas since last october...so know nothing about that but for you, don't expect to see your card until late July/early august. People who landed or resubmitted pics in early may are getting their cards now.

You cannot apply travel document from within Canada.

Hi Guys, I read in one thread that there are cases that shipping PR card outside Canada was hold by customs. By any chance, if we used DHL or FedEx, do we need to declare that it is PR card inside?

Anyone can share their experiences for those who did soft landing and received their PR card successfully? Which courier did you guys used?
