All the best blueboom..

Are you aware of what happens if the files goes to Delhi VO ?

All the best to you too, Saimeet! Actually, no idea. It was Sonia (in this thread) who mentioned the possibility, and I've been trying to find someone who has actually experienced a file transfer after their visa expires. I will have to tackle reading the New Delhi thread from start to finish.

I'm starting to regret not going through NDVO. Even though their timeline is longer, they seem to move faster and be more responsive than London. I don't knooooooooww. And the visa situation with my husband is worrying. I haven't found anything to verify that the file is transferred automatically once a visa is expired unless you request transfer of your file.

I wouldn't bank on that page over the one recently updated! Although, they may calculate the time differently for that page and the VO list page.

The processing time was first 7 months then 8 and now it's 9 :'(
I just saw this!!! I can't believe these awful timelines!!! When we first started our application it was 7 months, now 9 months, how much longer are they going to continue to do this!!! I was planning to visit my husband this christmas in London, but my sister was just hospitalized for her heart failure. So no go to see my hubby, whom I haven't seen in 10 months. This is gut and heart wrenching, why do they put us through this?

Hey guys, do we have a separate spread sheet for Outland London non UK applicants?
Not that I know of, but if you look at the London spreadsheet, there is a column that indicates non visa exempt for some people. Some people may not want to disclose that anyway. Also it may be easier to compare against the visa exempt folks with respect to processing times.

IS non visa exempt for specific countries ?
Yes, any country that requires a visa to enter Canada is non visa exempt. The data we're missing in the spreadsheet is non UK applicants who are visa exempt.

Sorry blue boom I am a little confused

Does this mean India who needs a visa to enter Canada is non visa exempt.

Also what does non visa exempt mean from a PR point of view

Yes the language is a little confusing. It basically means "non not required." Hopefully I have my facts straight.

Indian citizens require a visa to enter Canada, which means they are "not exempted" from needing a visa. They will receive a request from the visa office for their passport so the VO can place an entry visa for landing as a PR in their passport. This is separate from a COPR.

Visa exempt citizens are those who do not require a visa to enter Canada. They usually do not need to send their passports (they may need send passport photocopies for verification). They are "exempted". This means a non visa exempt applicant will presumably have a longer processing time because of the time it takes for issuing the visa to enter Canada.

I have a multi entry visa for Canada which expires at the end of 2013....does this mean I won't have to submit my pp for entry? I find their timeline for non visa exempt apps ridiculous as it took me a few hours at the London VO to get an entry visa.
