Woo hoo! ( I hope). Sydney has extended the deadline by two weeks. This doesn't put us out of the woods yet because there is every chance MICC won't have the CSQ to them within two weeks but it does mean I wasn't denied today. The left it till the last minute to advise me but at least I'm no longer throwing up with stress.

Oooh boy! So am I! Right at the last minute too - I never want to go through this kind of stress again!
Now, we only have to worry about whether MICC will get it done before the next deadline.

Common sense has prevailed! Let's hope MICC will come to the party too.

What is a interview environment like?
If you don't mind please share experience there.

I have a feeling that I may have to go to local CIC office as part of IEC. :S

They seemed friendly, when I went there we were the only couple there. They started getting things ready for the landing then They asked if I was employed, where at, for how long and was it full time
Then they asked if I had been convicted of any crimes and how long we had been a couple.
They explained to my sponsor he was responsible for my welfare for 3 years and if he was ok with still sponsoring me. Then just started to look at my passport, pictures and IEC visa. That was it.
Oh and they explained about not travelling until the card came through.
Then they couldn't print my visa. I was told not to stress everything has been approved but I had been taken off their print list and been put back on Sydney's. So I don't know now what's happening and where they will send it from.

So i got my PPR And sent it back today So what happens now? Do i get a email with paper work to cross the border? Or am i waiting for what they are mailing? Are they mailing my paper work or Pr card ?

They would be mailing your paperwork by whichever means you specified, You will get your PR card after landing and currently it looks like 52 days after you do so.

CSQ has been received by Sydney and everything is underway. Somehow, I don't think mine will be through in three months unless it comes through this week (one can dream no?).

When you received your COPR were you given a date by which you have to land?

I have received my PPR but I can't leave Australia until the end of Feb 2014. If there is a time limit once COPR is received I may have to delay submitting copies of my passport.

Hey everyone!

I am a first timer here. A little bit about our case, we filed on August 21st and received sponsorship approval on September 26th (I guess that's the first stage?) And then, on Oct 31st, my husband received an email stating

"Initial assessment of your application has been completed and your selection interview has been waived. You are not being asked to attend an interview at this time. However, until our office completes the processing of your application you may still be required to attend an interview for the purpose of ensuring that you are admissible to Canada."

I am not exactly sure as to which stage we're at because when I check online, his status hasn't changed to "in process". So far, they've been great in terms of communication. Has anyone else incurred a lag in change in online status?

Hi aslank.

The online status is updated once a week, normally on a Tuesday. I received my PPR before the status was updated to "in process"
