Super Visa Timeline -- Islamabad, Pakistan

My in-laws super visa was just approved. I wanted to share the details with you all in case you are also in a similar situation. We applied on January 17th, 2018 from Gerry's visa office in Karachi. It was a paper application. The biometrics were also done on the same day at the office. We also provided the passports with the application.

Medical Request was received on January 30th, 2018 through email. The appointment was booked on February 7th, 2018. A series of medical tests were done, incluging ECG, CT Scan, x-rays, etc which took more than a week to complete. My mother in law passed her medical but father in law received a furtherance medical request through email on February 19th. During the first medical exam, they found a small spot in the lungs during x-ray and CT scan. They did multiple chest x-rays and also did a sputum test during the first series of appointments. After going to the panel physician the second time (furtherance request), they told him that his sputum test was negative and provided all the reports and referred him to a specialist, for the spot they found in the lungs. They asked him to come back again after two months and an appointment was booked on May 7th. At this point, they did another x-ray to ensure that the spot they had found did not grow, which could have been a sign of some disease. Hopefully, everything was fine and he passed his medical exam on May 7th. He was able to find out the same day he passed. The results were uploaded online a couple of days later.

On May 25th, the status was approved online and the passports were dispatched from Islamabad to Karachi for pickup. They will be picking up their passports this Wednesday. Below is the timeline:

Applied: January 17, 2018 (Paper Application)
Biometrics: January 17, 2018
Medical Request: January 30, 2018
Medical Exam: February 7, 2018
Furtherance Request: February 19, 2018
Furtherance Medical Exam: May 7, 2018
Approved Online: May 25, 2018
Passport Received: Delivered and Ready for Pickup

Do they update that biometrics received on when or not?

they never update biometrics status even when your application approved you still see " We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you message if this changes" but in reality if the application is paper based it will be done on the same day of submission. If applied online normally 1-2 days after.

Is it a positive sign? When I checked the status online; it does not any say anything about " BIOMETRIC RECORDS" received or not? Is any one can guide me on this?

better wait it is just 13 days so stay calm if it is more then 50 days etc then it can be either you never know when they are going to send a reply as if they think application is eligible so they put it in background check most of applications either they simply send a details about refusal or approval

My father's TRV (normal visit visa) got approved Alhamdulilah. I applied online on March 3rd and today after 3 months I got the passport request although the website says that the processing time is 20 days. No medicals needed, just biometrics were required.

How much time it takes to get back the passport? We will inshaAllah be submitting the passport at VAC Islamabad.

Anyone applied mid/end of April and heard back anything yet. It looks like the processing time came down now to 86days from 110-120+ days earlier.

Do my parents scan and email to me all original notarized documents from Pakistan or CIC needs everything original from Pakistan by postal mail? I am applying everything from Canada through online.

If applying online just notarized copies of original documents good enough. so as for your passport/pr ( don't scan and attach original coloured)

If applying online, why we need scan notarized copies of original property documents? don't you think scan of original property documents along with scan of notarized english translation is good enough?

You need to submit the paper named eMedical information sheet. This has the applicant photo, passport number etc and the required tests in the bottom.

If applying online, why we need scan notarized copies of original property documents? don't you think scan of original property documents along with scan of notarized english translation is good enough?

Bikanair the intial question from godisgreat was not specifically about the property but for all the original documents

if its e-medical designated center then they will be able to get the picture taken during the medical appointment.
