I applied for my father's TRV on March 3rd and still no update since submitting biometrics on March 6th :( I submitted case specific inquiry and they replied that your application is in queue for review. TRV processing time is 20 days mentioned on the website :(

Anyone else here who applied for TRV instead of supervisa?

Good day friends,

I'm logged in here after the long time. Hope all is well with you. I'm planning to apply for parents super visa from Karachi, Pakistan . Can you please provide me some details how I can do this. Can I apply online? How I will send parent's passport with my application. I have been recently purchased parent's super visa insurance plan. I'm providing my all information.

Also, which visa is easy to get from Pakistan. Does it regular visit visa or super visa program?

Thank you everyone for your help. Good luck with your parents cases.

Thanks

I applied for my parents too (paper based) and submitted to vfs global Karachi. previously 2 visitor Visa rejections in last 5 years so I decided to move on with supervisa. If you think you have enough ties in Karachi that convince the visa officer then go for visitor visa which is taking 18days only and the other benefit is it doesn't require medical if they have health issues of course you can get the insurance here to get them covered during the trip. For my supervisa application I sent out NOA, invitation letter notarized and insurance paper. here is my timeline

application submitted / biometrics : May 03, 2018
Medical requested : May 14, 2018
Medical done : May 22, 2018
linked application updated medical passed : May 25, 2018

Thanks Dr. Visa for your note. We don't have enough ties in Karachi. That's why I am applying for super visa instead of regular visitor. I will provide them insurance, job letter, NOA, MP letter, Canadian passport copies, invitation letter with notarized stamp. Do you think anything else I need to provide them from Canada.

What about parents medical and passport? Do they need to submit with their application or embassy will ask later?

Thank you very much!

I think that's more then enough from your side
two ways to apply (online/paper based), for online you just scan the first two pages and they will ask for passport later but if you are submitting paper based then VFS will dispatch the passports along with original passports to the visa office. For the medical you can either go with upfront medical done before submitting application or have it done later usually take ~10 days after you submit the application and then you need to call/email to get the appointment. be prepare that it's so crowded in khi medical location and will take an average ~4-6hours.
Just to remind you still need satisfactory ties in Pakistan no matter if it's visitor/supervisa. In my case parents are retired but have property in their name so they have submitted valuation of property as well as notarized copy of property papers also the dependant children could be consider as strong ties

Hello fellow members,

My in-laws super visa was just approved. I wanted to share the details with you all in case you are also in a similar situation. We applied on January 17th, 2018 from Gerry's visa office in Karachi. It was a paper application. The biometrics were also done on the same day at the office. We also provided the passports with the application.

Medical Request was received on January 30th, 2018 through email. The appointment was booked on February 7th, 2018. A series of medical tests were done, incluging ECG, CT Scan, x-rays, etc which took more than a week to complete. My mother in law passed her medical but father in law received a furtherance medical request through email on February 19th. During the first medical exam, they found a small spot in the lungs during x-ray and CT scan. They did multiple chest x-rays and also did a sputum test during the first series of appointments. After going to the panel physician the second time (furtherance request), they told him that his sputum test was negative and provided all the reports and referred him to a specialist, for the spot they found in the lungs. They asked him to come back again after two months and an appointment was booked on May 7th. At this point, they did another x-ray to ensure that the spot they had found did not grow, which could have been a sign of some disease. Hopefully, everything was fine and he passed his medical exam on May 7th. He was able to find out the same day he passed. The results were uploaded online a couple of days later.

On May 25th, the status was approved online and the passports were dispatched from Islamabad to Karachi for pickup. They will be picking up their passports this Wednesday. Below is the timeline:

Applied: January 17, 2018 (Paper Application)
Biometrics: January 17, 2018
Medical Request: January 30, 2018
Medical Exam: February 7, 2018
Furtherance Request: February 19, 2018
Furtherance Medical Exam: May 7, 2018
Approved Online: May 25, 2018
Passport Received: Delivered and Ready for Pickup

Hopefully the information above is helpful.
