I am about to apply for my parents as well and I read on this forum that online is much faster. I also need information about online applications. I am also going to apply for my sisters visitor Visa. Can I apply online for her with this application as well?

find the related forms that need to be e-filled and then go through the checklist. No signature or print out required when you validate the form it will generate the barcodes. You just need to save a copy and upload to online account. Once you are ready with everything just sign up for gckey account.

Btw the processing time for visitors visa from Pakistan is currently 18days only for online or paper based
Hello everyone, As i have told you guys my father has gone through spetum test which took 2 months for results. in that 2 months they called my father again for X-rays test. but now after two months my father received call again to come for x-rays, Can any please put some light what does it exactly mean. i have not yet applied just because of this medical but hopefully i would apply in next week.
first medical of my father : 25 March
3 days for his spetum test : 26 March, 27 March,28 March
then they called my father again for 2nd X-ray on 25 April
now my father received call again for x-ray a day before yesterday (monday)
Can any please put some light what does it exactly mean

My in-laws super visa was just approved. I wanted to share the details with you all in case you are also in a similar situation. We applied on January 17th, 2018 from Gerry's visa office in Karachi. It was a paper application. The biometrics were also done on the same day at the office. We also provided the passports with the application.
Medical Request was received on January 30th, 2018 through email. The appointment was booked on February 7th, 2018. A series of medical tests were done, incluging ECG, CT Scan, x-rays, etc which took more than a week to complete. My mother in law passed her medical but father in law received a furtherance medical request through email on February 19th. During the first medical exam, they found a small spot in the lungs during x-ray and CT scan. They did multiple chest x-rays and also did a sputum test during the first series of appointments. After going to the panel physician the second time (furtherance request), they told him that his sputum test was negative and provided all the reports and referred him to a specialist, for the spot they found in the lungs. They asked him to come back again after two months and an appointment was booked on May 7th. At this point, they did another x-ray to ensure that the spot they had found did not grow, which could have been a sign of some disease. Hopefully, everything was fine and he passed his medical exam on May 7th. He was able to find out the same day he passed. The results were uploaded online a couple of days later.
On May 25th, the status was approved online and the passports were dispatched from Islamabad to Karachi for pickup. They will be picking up their passports this Wednesday. Below is the timeline:
Applied: January 17, 2018 (Paper Application)
Biometrics: January 17, 2018
Medical Request: January 30, 2018
Medical Exam: February 7, 2018
Furtherance Request: February 19, 2018
Furtherance Medical Exam: May 7, 2018
Approved Online: May 25, 2018
Passport Received: Delivered and Ready for Pickup

As you already know, my in-laws received their passports. My father in-law's passport is valid for 10 years, however, they only granted a 5 year visa. Any idea what the reason for this may be? I thought all super visas were granted a 10 year visa, provided your passport is also valid for that period of time.

Yes you can...by the time you will get result of visitor Visa the supervisa application will still be under process maybe medical requested until then

My father-in-law went through a similar situation. I am not going to pretend to know your father's situation nor am I going to assume what his medical exams may have revealed. My father-in-law also was asked to do follow-up x-rays because in the initial x-ray, they found a spot in this lungs. They did follow up x-rays to ensure that the spot is not growing. Having a spot on the lungs is fine, however, if the spot shows that is is growing or spreading, that maybe a sign of some medical issue which may have to get addressed before a visa can be issued. The final x-ray that was done showed that the spot was exactly the same as last time and his medical exam was passed immediately; he was told by the medical staff on the same day. I hope you get to find out soon and that everything is okay.
Visa officers also have a lot of discretion over the length of visa that can be issued and the number of entries...
Depending on applicant profile the option is to issue a single entry or multiple entry and it can be valid for any period of time the visa officer seems necessary based on applicant profile
Main areas the visa officer will consider are
1. Is host able to support a long term visitor
2. Medical condition of applicant and type of medical insurance coverage provided...

too be very honest the answer is Umrah visa
it depends on how strong your ties are in Pakistan and health/wealth. rejection rate is much lower in supervisa as compare to visitor
