Yes, we plan to land in Ontario. If I understand properly,after we land I can purchase that insurance. or I can buy from my country, or my husband /he is in Ontario/can do that to be valid from the date we land?

I think you need to purchase the insurance before you land. I purchased insurance for my wife during her OHIP wait. I recall having to purchase the plan before she landed, though you can pick the date the plan kicks in (her landing date).

What do you mean by "Adoption of Convenience" If you can kindly guide me. See the divorce order says i have the custody of the child. even before my child was born we were seperated. we have no touch with the father. No support no communication. We have registered an adoption deed from sub register office. additionally the adoption ceremony according to hindu rights has been done. We have the pictures also included in the registered deed.

Now pls help seeing my case how do i need to guide my kid. Pls help. my interview is in next week.

I agree with zardoz, if it's all on the up and up you really shouldn't coach the child. She doesn't need to know everything. The questions should not be a big deal. Nothing to get worked up about. Prep won't make it better and it might make it much worse.

sorry for my late reply, i didn't started in my application yet, me and my husband are confused about which is better, to send application online (while he study in canada now) or to wait till he finish his diploma in august 2014 and come to egypt and submit the application with me to cairo VO ?? do any one have an answer to my question???

I am sponsoring my husband through Vienna VO. Here is our timeline:
Application Received: Feb 22, 2012
1st Medical Done: August 30, 2011
Sponsorship Approved: May 23, 2012
AOR: June 12, 2012
Fingerprints requested: Oct 15, 2012
In Process: Oct 3, 2013
Interview: November 19, 2013 (new police certificate, marriage cert, military book, originals requested)

The visa officer at the interview reviewed everything and told my husband that everything was fine and that the new medicals had to be done ASAP so that we can get home by New Year's(btw, we've been together in Serbia throughout the whole application process, we have 2 kids, 6 and 1 year old who couldn't stand being separated from their dad for 30 minutes, let alone longer).

So:
Medical re-done: November 26, 2013
New Background Declaration and Non-accompanying dependent declaration requested: November 25, 2013

We have been waiting since then. It's been over 8 weeks since the new medicals were done and all documents sent. We called the doctor's office and they confirmed that they sent the results the next day.
We emailed Vienna VO twice in the meantime and they responded in the same manner they had been responding every month in 2012: "Please be informed that we have not received all background check results. You will be informed about the further steps AFTER we have received all background check results; "
We relied on visa officer's word, after 23 months of waiting patiently, we were hoping to be home by New Year's. Why are they stalling us now?

All of you wonderful and experienced people, do you have any ideas how long after the 2nd medical, and in our case, after the interview and all other final documentation has been received by Vienna VO, would they issue the PPR?

You must do it in the first Canadian city you arrive in. If you need a second flight between Toronto and Vancouver, this will be a domestic flight and you will not go through immigration again.

It will be Toronto if that is the first city through which you enter Canada.

You should do it directly in Toronto. Is your flight Van Toronto?

I dont know if ur husband is permenent or canadian citizen if he is apermenent so he has to stay in canada tillyour application wiil be finished but if he is citizen he can do it from cairo, but he has to submit proofs that he will return to canada with you and this is our condition now. actually i find that you can start the proccess now it will be better for you

Oh! my flight is HK-TO, i was just worried since a friend was adviced during their pre departure seminars that new immigrants will need to land first in Vancouver. but my ticket is from Manila-Hk- TO

As i said he can apply from inside or outside canada but if he lives with you in Egypt during the application proccess he must give them proofs that he will return to canada when you get your permenant. proofs like job offer ,appartement, loan you can read guide imm3999 and 3900 i dont know what is better for you it depends about your condition .
Actually we are worried from this point because my sponsor doesnt have any of these proofs it is very difficult to rent an appartment and you dont know when do you go there and no one can hire him while he is not in canada

Don't worry about that. If your flight is direct to TO, then you will need to see the immigration officer in TO.
