Hello,

To answer question#

1. For sure you must have the police check in place and attached with the application. (it is on the checklist) If it is not included, it will be considered incomplete and sent back. Make sure everything is sent at once!
2. Since each country has different processing times, I suggest you call the US contact# for an estimate of when a police check would be complete.

Regardless, you will need it done so I suggest you start on it now.

Good luck!

You should have another month or two left, maybe a little more. Just try to be patient :)

May its not so long ago.

And its seems your file getting forward quite fast; ND its a very fast VO!

I'm glad to see some of your applications are going fast. I wonder if they are looking for something specific that makes them say, "pass" or "hmm let's think about this one". I did try to submit my papers as organized as possible so they wouldn't waste much time but it was still a whole lot of crap.
Anywway,,it's encouraging to read successes! Keep 'em coming!

My husband and I had a conversation about the spousal sponsorship application. We found it sooo complicated and so many of the forms had unclear wording and accompanying instructions. If I hadn't been able to consult this forum, I wouldn't have been able to fill them out correctly (I hope I filled them out correctly!). We were speculating that the whole process is purposely designed to actually be an indirect way of testing IQ/education/language skills? :o I can't imagine trying to go through that if English/French weren't my first language, or if I wasn't very comfortable with written communication.

That is a heck of a good point. Unfortunately I never found this forum until after I mailed our application, had I of seen things I know now I would have been a lot clearer. If I wasn't English and English was not my 1st language I would have had a hell of a job getting the application right (I haven't had it returned so i guess it's ok lol). Kudos to all those who struggle even more than I did. Come to think of it is anything straight forward and easy with CIC? :P

That's great! I pray mine doesn't take long either. I sent for mine the end of August.

Relationships that are not eligible:

you have lived apart from your sponsor for at least one year and either you (or your sponsor) are the common-law or conjugal partner of another person?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

hi!

i think i asked this before. but i need to ask it once more,

we are currently waiting for the PPR,

can my sponsor (permanent resident) come for a visit here in my country? (Philippines)

how long can she stay?

it means that if you have conjugal partnership with your sponsor and you lived apart for last 12 months, then he/she cannot sponsor you.
Or if he/she has another partner, then he/she cannot sponsor you either.
This is not relevant if you are married.
