Hi, Can you please let us know whether you did BE or BSc.? There is lot of confusion among us on whether NOC 2174 with BE (Bachelor of Engineering) should go for CIPS certification or APEGS. I have done Masters in Computer Science & BE in Computer Engineering with 10+ years of Experience. When I contacted CIPS they suggested I could take either "Education+ Experience" or "IT professional" route. Just wanted to make sure CIPS is the right route for BE as well?
I have Bsc in Computer Science so i can't really answer your questions. Sorry.

I have my Birth Certificates in my native language(Kannada). Those need to be translated into English. I read in the SINP site that, a certified regulatory body should be doing this as per IRCC instructions. I had called SINP as well for the same reason, but they told me to check with IRCC. I did not find information regarding this on the IRCC website.
Now I am not sure how to find a certified translator.
So if you have any information about this, it would be of great help.
There are several Online Translation services available. The typical process is that you would upload you document and then pay for the translation service (word by word OR page by page) and then the online service will send you the translated document's digital copy as well as paper copy to your communication address. Based on your location, you can choose to go with any reputable translators. It usually takes couple of days to a week to get the whole process completed.

This can be used for future reference:

I haven't used any of them but you can do your due diligence before engaging any of them. Preferable to use Certified translators. If the translators are not certified, then you need to provide affidavit for it. The way I have understood is if you have a formal engineering degree you are most likely to follow APEGS route. If not, then CIPS. Having said that it's a tricky one for everybody as you have to read the finer prints that are usually applicable differently for every individual.

Thanks a lot for the detailed information and many links. We will definitely check their credentials before proceeding.

Hi all the lovely and generous people out there,

I have a query related to reference letter.
In one of my previous organizations, I held two positions
1- Software Engineer
2- Senior Software engineer(Last desgination)

Do I need to get both the designstions mentioned in the reference letter separately with all other details like ( Job title, period, salary etc). And also do I need to get the role and responsibilities separately mentioned for both?

Thanks a Ton in advance.

Hi All,
I have got invitation on 24/09 draw.

My points are 85 and NOC is 2241.

20 point are of close relative of mine, i checked with them they are not my close relative as mentioned in cic definition.

1) What should i do? Should i go ahead and apply and try to provide documents whatever i have? or
2) Change in my SINP profile and wait to hear from them?

I am not sure, please help me if anyone has any idea.

I think either way should be fine if your reference letter covers both the roles and responsibilities in detail, the NOC you selected.

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum. I had a few important questions.
Last night i received Invitation to Submit application for SINP (Skilled Worker Category without Job offer)
The problem is, I have all my documents handy apart from IELTS which expired on 27th July 2020.
I'm not sure how i got invited with IELTS being expired. Because my EE profile was already deemed illegible after IELTS expiry.
I'm confused on what to do next. For sure, i won't be able to apply for SINP with expired IELTS. And due to the lockdown in India, mostly all the IELTS centers in my city are closed.
I have 60 days to submit my application.

NOC - 0114 - Other administrative services managers

Can any of the senior and experienced members please help me with my query....

Thanks.

You mean, the last desgination with roles and responsibilites will also solve the purpose?
Why am I asking this is because one of my employers willing to provide only last designation with roles and responsibilites in the organization..

The letter should cover whole period of employment which you claimed for the experience along with the roles and responsibilites.

Hi All, I learnt it today that for NOC 2174 + BE in CS profiles will be directly rejected from SINP.
Is it possible / Ok to change the NOC to 2173 after we got ITA ? and then explain the reason in LOE ?

I think while having both of them is ideal, I doubt if you can get both. But, if you only get one of them, then go for the last held designation and its details.
