hi everyone,

hi fellow september applicants ;)
getting excited for the next stage of our application;)
by the way..just for sharing, i tried to apply gcmc notes and they were asking me to pay $5..
i don't mind paying $5 but u read from our thread that is free..
i followed toby's link for tools..i guess i might had click something wrong;(

Notes are free if you request them from within Canada. Go through my instructions again and follow them carefully.

by the way guys, need your advise because right now i'm feeling down.
my sister has also application for PR under Ainp..she took initial request for her police clearance
at middle east and they told her that they can't issue bec she was detained before..but she knows
that it was not..whatever it is..my problem is since the first time i came to canada everytime i'm applying as a worker, temp. visa, and now PR i always answer NO to the question "have you, or any of the family listed had been convicted, detained for crime...etc...i'm thinking now that i might be affected by this case because i answer NO since she told me that she was never detained..what's your advise to this case? shall i notify and send them a new updated background declaration stating a d conforming that she was been detained before?
thanks in advance for help;)

Not sure about that. Call the CIC hotline and ask them about your unique sitaution.

Maybe those people in the police mixed up your sister's name with some one similar. If you have some family/friend there, maybe they can personally go and see what the deal is.

I think you are good to go. Even if your sister was arrested/detained - CIC won't blame you for her criminal charges. Also when they are asking about family members, I think they mean family members ex: you/your wife/your children. That's how they define 'family members' in guide. Your parents/brothers/sisters don't fall under the family tree here.

what a relief;) thanks so much toby and iamroth;)
Godbless to everyone;)

Which September and August are you talking about.. July people started getting their MR just few days before and many applicants are still waiting for MR.
August and September team are expecting to get their MRs in March-April sometime..

Did you see the correct list? I don't think there is anyone in the CEC category getting MR in the Sep list on Trackitt

No, there's no august/september applicant who got MR. I just checked the trackit list.

Toby,

We have seen an applicant from August who got a rejection letter just a few days ago. It means that August is actually being processed and that it takes two weeks to send a MR after the application is reviewed. We will see MR for August in two up to three weeks.

It also means that your file (sent in Sept 9th) will be reviewed in about two weeks.

So, do you think it is a good moment for you to ask GCMS notes?

I'll request notes in two-three weeks and see what it says after an officer
has reviewed the file. I also made an appointment for upfront medicals for march 1st.
As I'll be busy with work again in march/april and won't have time to do medicals
when CIC requests it. I'll keep you posted and let you guys know what the notes say
when I get e'm.

Ya byrwus...

Even i dint get like how cic works...as july applicants r getting mr...simulantenously r they checking aug files tooo as that aug applicant got rejection email

Can you please share the reason for rejection?

Yes, and who was the applicant? I just checked the August thread and couldn't find anyone saying
the he/she got rejected??

Don't think he is in the spreadsheet. He applied earlier Aug and got rejected last week due to missing date in the letter. He is trying to appeal for re-open his case.

It is odd that he is an August applicant and they have already reviewed his file. They might be changing the way they do things alright. Would love if they have already reviewed all July applicant and just sending out MR's based on the date they applied.

I guess there is a preliminary review procedures in place to spot out the obvious issues without requiring further investigation and reject right away. This is probably what happened to this applicant. But, never know how cic works.
