Adding common-law partner after Portal 1 (CEC) - anyone with similar experience?

Hi everyone,

I’m in the middle of my CEC Express Entry process and recently received Portal 1. When I replied, I also informed IRCC that I now need to add my common-law partner (we are completing 12 months of cohabitation).

I understand this means IRCC will have to assess my partner’s admissibility (PCC, medicals, relationship proof, etc.), and that it could delay things. I’ve already triggered her PCC and I’m starting to gather other documents, but I don’t want to miss anything.

My questions for those who went through something similar:

1. What additional forms/documents did IRCC actually request from your common-law partner?
2. Did IRCC give enough time to provide things like PCC if it took more than 30 days?
3. How much did adding your partner at this stage delay your PR confirmation / eCOPR?

I know every case is different, but it would help a lot to hear real timelines or document lists from people who’ve been in the same situation.
