I think they may ask for proof of funds at anytime during the application if they believe that you may not have sufficient funds.
I also remember reading most posts about bringing evidence of POF only when they land in Canada. There’s a question about net worth in the forms, I guess they would act on that.

ok thank u, for the proof of funds do we have to put it there for six months or 3 months or just put that the money is in the bank recently?

Loans will have to be declared.
They will look into your financials.

For me even though i met the cash fund criteria, they asked me for all my property valuations, where as it was not part of the application. As @Runroad said networth and they will check on it.

They might check if your bank balance is sort of stable over i suppose 6 months.

So donot take a loan to add to your bank balance. Loan by itself is a curse (personal opinion) so rather save and build your balance properly and apply.

Yes, you have to declare it when you fill the financial section - all bank accounts, loans, credit cards, etc must be disclosed. It's not so they can refuse you. They just want to make sure you have adequate unencumbered funds to immigrate. If your liabilities outweigh assets though, this will be a red flag so plan accordingly. HTH.

For reference here is my timeline:
Total time: 3 months 1 day

• AOR: 16 Jan 2019 (Application Sent: 11 Oct 2018)
• Biometrics: 1 Mar
• Additional Information: 28 Feb - 15 Mar
• Medical Request: 4 Mar
• Medical Done: 13 Mar
• PPR: 27 Mar
• COPR: 17 Apr 2019

Few points i had issues with which added to slight delays:

• My physical address was incorrect in the beginning so the biometric letter was lost - had to request again.
• Additional requests/documents caused hiccups in the timeline: Property valuations, POF, additional family form update/history/questions

So I was expecting a 24 month timeline for this. I applied and forget about the application till AOR - then things moved very quickly.

1. At the CIC webpage it states that once I pay for my biometric fees, I'll receive a mail in 30 days on where to give them however I received no such mail. Should I be worried?
2. Comparing with most your timeframes my process is taking longer? Is this a sign of a coming refusal? I have not received anything else. (no MR no Biometrics request nor Additional information)

You should definitely get in touch with them.
My biometrics letter was lost in the regular mail. So they resent it online, after i requested it via webform.
