Hi everyone,
I’m preparing to apply for Canadian citizenship in 2025. I want to get some real feedback from people who have similar cases or have seen this happen.
My situation:

I'm now over 1097 days with no travel outside and my passport expired and I didn’t renew it because I didn’t need to travel.
I’m applying with my spouse and child we live together as a family.
I’ve been self-employed/unemployed "Artist" for the entire 1097 so I don’t have pay stubs or employer letters.
The only direct proof of my daily presence is my bank statements, which show regular local spending and deposits.
Has anyone in a similar situation been asked for an RQ or extra proof .
Did an RQ delay your file a lot?
Any practical advice for what extra proof I should prepare now to make my application stronger?

Don't overthink. They rarely do rqs now. Give yourself another thirty days buffer, apply online, provide what they ask for and no more.
