Hello,

First update on my application after AOR2.
I got an email today from São Paulo VO requesting Certified Criminal Record Check (Civil Fingerprinting Screening) issued by the RCMP and two photographs.

Ana, Did you send the criminal record before or will be the first time sending it?
I did send my all together when applied so I'm I'm wondering if they can ask to re send it. What are your timelines? When did you send everything?

Well good luck to you. Our timeline is pretty much like yours - Our application was received in Mississauga Feb 9 2016 and I was approved as a sponsor Mid -March then forwarded to Sao Paulo VO on March 30 2016 and like yourself have not heard anything at all. Our notes say ''in process'' as well ....

If I hear anything at all I'll post here too .

Thank you John, let us know in case you hear anything. Nothing happening over here, also still with the same "in process". I noticed they increased the processing times, before was 8 months and now says 9 months :-[

Hello!

I submitted my Brazilian criminal record together with the application. It was sent on December 4th, AOR1 on December 9th and AOR2 on February 15th.
The new criminal record they requested me yesterday is the Canadian one, since I'm staying in Canada as a visitor during the process.

Great news! Just got the email requesting my passport and two photographs to finalize my process.
I sent my application Dec 9 and received SA on Feb 15. So it took under the 8/9 months that shows on the website.
I hope that everyone hears from the VO soon!

Congrats, lasgst! I have exactly the same news this morning. I (and my spouse) received an email requesting her passport, and her status reads "DECISION MADE". Our applications were submitted December 10, 2015, so the total time duration was 6 months and four days, which is considerably less than the 9 months currently indicated on the website.

I sent my application on October 16th and haven't heard anything. I'm starting to worry. I was approved a my husband's sponsor on Dec 16th, and the São Paulo office started processing on Dec 30th. Haven't received my GCMS notes yet and I am very close to insanity. Please someone help. Do you think they could have lost my application?

Hello, What a great news!!!! Congratulations!!!

Are you in Brazil or in Canada? You have similar dates to a brazilian friend of mine. She applied around 1/5-2 months before me (same as you, on December) and she just had her status changed at CIC Website do decision made today!!!! So excited!!! But they didn't send her an email or anything about her passport yet. Do you remember how long after they changed your status to "decision made" they requested your passport? Just to let her know as she is so anxious! (And so do I as I'm basing some of my dates on her process! Lol! I applied on January 18th, received SA on March 15th. Hope to hear from them sometime on July)

I am currently in Canada. My status on eCAS still In Process, it hasn't changed to Decision Made. I stopped checking my eCAS since there wasn't no change to the status and news from the VO. I hope that your friend, and that you as well, hear from the VO soon.

I doubt they lost your application. You say you haven't heard anything -- but you did receive an acknowledgement that they received your application, and your husband has been approved, correct? In that case, CIC won't say much until there is something to say. Their silence is nothing to worry about.

October 16 until now is still less than the 9 months they are currently estimating on the website. So, probably your application is progressing normally. Your GCMS notes should give some insight but you probably don't have anything to worry about.

I got the email at 7am. There happen to be a fire alarm going off in my building at the time. When I returned and checked the status, it had changed to Decision Made, but there are still only three lines in the details.

I know. Actually, I was reluctant to post my good news this morning, because I didn't want to frustrate other people who have been waiting. I'm particularly thinking of my Fort Mac friend, who applied several months before me and was then asked for a Canadian security clearance, and is still waiting for DM and probably also waiting to return to his home. I can't explain why my application (and that of others) went fast while others are going slower. I really can't. I did put a lot of effort into providing a compact and well-organized application, but I have no idea at all if that had anything to do with the speed of things.

I'm sorry to hear about all the delays others are experiencing. Up until this morning, I had no idea how long we would have to wait. We've also been lucky because my wife also holds Italian citizenship, which means she could visit while we waited.

All I can say is, hang in there. I'm pretty sure that fairly soon, everyone on this thread who is waiting will soon be celebrating.
