I just wanted to know if there is anyone else here processing through the Sao Paulo Visa office so we can share our progress.

They received our papers on November 3rd.

Thankfully the sponsorship processing times have decreased to 66 days (it was 70 when I started). I got my approval as sponsor November 17. Now just waiting for the AOR from Sao Paulo!

I am hoping for less than the 10 month process estimated in the CIC website.

Did you apply inland or outland?

So, I'm sure you will have you answer soon! 10 months is too long!!

I read a post from another guy who's wife got the visa only about 2 or 2 and 1/2 months after the files were transfered! I hope we beat that record. He said that the officer complemented them on how organized and complete their package was...

I hope they don't ask for ANYTHING extra and they get right to it... the suspense is killing me!

I was thinking of giving them a call this week... I wonder if anything has changed since you called... I hope they are moving faster.

I called them just before send our papers - end of october.
Super nice the ladies I spoke there.
I did another call few weeks ago and again they were really nice with me.
You should try reach them and after let me know what they said.

I called and all I get is an automated system...

ccbrasil, when I called there I kept getting an automated system as well. I got tired of it and started trying random extention numbers until someone answered me and I explained, if they couldn't help they transferred to someone who could.

The number is (55 11) 5509-4343, so just try the ending 4340, 4304 etc
