Landed on 5th October in Emerson Manitoba .
13th January got letter for resubmission of photo at local CIC office.
Submitted at local Winnipeg CIC office on 15th January .
Got PR back in 11 days after photo resubmission on Jan 26th 2016.
Way to go CIC

Hi PedDoc what is the medium through which we have to resent the photos..is it Fedex or canada post Courier.

Hi All,

I am back to home country after my short landing on 14th Oct. at Toronto. I have just come to know that a letter has been received in my wife's name at my Canadian address along with the PR card of my son. I am worried what that letter could be for??? Something more worrying - there's no mail received in my name yet. Any idea if I'll need a PRTD to travel back for me & my wife.

Hi, Arka. I also got a letter from CIC. It could be that they're requesting new photographs (as they have done with a lot of people recently). They recently changed the photo specifications. They now have to be 50 x 70 mm (the new specifications would be in your letter). In any case, it shouldn't be anything to worry about. Just resend the photos and they should process them soon. Hope this helps and if you need anymore information, let me know.

Same here, resent photo on Dec04, photo received by CIC on Dec07, still waiting for card. Wondering whether I should call in. They will probably say I need to wait 105days from when the photo was received before they would check my file.

I called cic last week, still in process, no idea when will come out.

I don't even know, to be honest. But this photo thing is actually absurd. I feel like they're just doing it to make sure you're actually in the country. The same thing happened with my family.
My father, brother and I got our PR cards but my mother's has yet to arrive. We landed September 11th. :-[

I sent it yesterday. I haven't received the letter yet. The agent himself advised me to send it in advance.

Good News !! Received my son's PR Card. We have landed on August 15th and received mail from CIC to resubmit photos for my son on October 24th 2015. We mailed on November 2nd and the CIC received them on November 4th 2015. Received PRC on Feb 9th 2016.

Hey everyone - how do you find out if CIC has received your photos?

My wife called CIC today after completing 110 days and guess what she was told that a note was updated asking for new photographs. She took the photos from Costco last time? Any idea why are they asking for new photos? Is there a specific place from where we should get the photos?

This is so frustrating now. I don't know if the present situation is better than the lives we had back home in India.

All very frustrating.
Landed 28th August. Received letter asking new photos 5th October. Sent them 7th October. Nothing since. Cic helpline are most unhelpful saying they no idea when i ll get card as there no timeline whatsoever for this situation.
