Hi,

My Case:
I, my husband, my mother and my daughter landed as immigrants on 18th June 2015.
I, my husband and my mother received PR cards on 14th September 2015 but didn't receive it for my toddler.
I thought it might be arriving in another mail, so waited and then called CIC. Then they told me to send photographs if my daughter.
Meanwhile my daughter went back with my mother to her homeland as she didn't adjusted well here and I wanted to finish her school year back home.
Now I want her to be here with me and still waiting for PR card

* I was updated only when I called after waiting for 1 month
** Took time to get her new photograph from homeland.

I wish someone can tell me is it good to wait or I should apply for travel document and How?

In my opinion, she should apply PRTD in home country as soon as, in the meantime wait for her PR card to be mail in Canada.

Note that, make sure how long will it take to get PRTD? Depending on the countries where you reside, some country takes only few days but some processing times up to 4 weeks.

Do i have to bring photos when landing or they request them at later time?

Not required. But you can bring it just in case.

Hello All
I did not receive any letter from CIC but I was only told on phone to send passport picture for my son, is it sufficient to send only the picture and probably a copy of his COPR.

Any advice

Landed on 5th October in Emerson Manitoba .
13th January got letter for resubmission of photo at local CIC office.
Submitted at local Winnipeg CIC office on 15th January .
Got PR back in 11 days after photo resubmission on Jan 26th 2016.
Way to go CIC

Hi All,

I am back to home country after my short landing on 14th Oct. at Toronto. I have just come to know that a letter has been received in my wife's name at my Canadian address along with the PR card of my son. I am worried what that letter could be for??? Something more worrying - there's no mail received in my name yet. Any idea if I'll need a PRTD to travel back for me & my wife.

Mind my language..This is frustrating..After 4 month, they request to resend the photo again for my PR card...

I have taken my photo from Canada (Shoppers drug mart) and submitted with my Passport..I do not know where to take the photo now ?? ..can any one please suggest?

Same here, resent photo on Dec04, photo received by CIC on Dec07, still waiting for card. Wondering whether I should call in. They will probably say I need to wait 105days from when the photo was received before they would check my file.
