Dear All,

Based on what you have experienced so far can anyone tell me how long does it take to get invited for the Medical Exam as of application submission date?
ECAS officially shows that my application is dated Sep 26th, 2010, it is in Abu Dhabi. So it has been 6 months now and no movement

well i guess u are talking abt the federal part right? usually your AOR should state the time duration for processing files under the category in which u av applied. does ur AOR gives an indication to this:
If ur e-cas is showing: we started processing your application on.......... ( then u should expect the medical soonest, but if not it means ur file is yet to be assigned to a reviewing officer.
another possible reason for the delay is: travelling. i.e if u have travelled to other country aside ur country of nationality

It's almost three months now but till today not my Credit card charged not received aor and not even get any information from BIQ paris, is this is normal time or they are talking too much time.
any idea why they are taking so much time.

ssansari: go through the online evaluation on quebec immigration website, if it gives positive response, then u r eligible.

I'm between a rock and a hard place ???
I'm a South African citizen, currently living and working in South Korea as an English teacher.

I want to apply for immigration to Canada. At the moment, I've been following the FSW method (with all it's bizarre changes)...and now I'm wondering if I should rather follow the Quebec method. (I know I can always move to another province once I have PR).

Is the Quebec process faster?

I have the funds I need now in order to start this process. The FSW funds will take me more months to save (it's currently CAD$11,150 for a single applicant).

I have a undergraduate and postgraduate degree in French (so I already speak it - I was also a French teacher in South Africa for a year). I will do the DALF or TCF/TEF at some stage, as well as the IELTS.
So far, there are no interviews required for South Korea (according to the Quebec Immigration site). If there were, I'd have to do it via telephone or Skype.

The FSW system only takes 20,000 cases per year (July 1st to June 30) and only 1000 per NOC cap. My code on there fills up really quick (1122) and I'm worried that this year, the cap will fill faster OR be taken of the list should it be updated/changed.

Any ideas fellow applicants..should I stay with the FSW system or switch to the QSW system?

I am n a confusion for experience certificates....I dont have any employment contracts and pay slips for my former employers... only have my experience certificate mentioning the duties and employment period...what shall I do unfortunately lost it from my hand....

But for current employment I have employment contract and 4 months pay slip as I joined n this company on Nov3rd...

I think you have better Option in switching to QSW immigration program, As you have excellent knowledge of french and it is going to be easy for you to get the CSQ ...Could you please tell me that how do you know that there is no interview required for those Applying from South Korea? Could you post the link?
